Minneapolis Parking is the largest privately owned portfolio of real estate parking spaces in the state of Minnesota, with over 5000 parking spaces under management and thousands of daily and contract customers. Minneapolis Parking seeks strong team members to support our aggressive growth, excellence in service, and innovation goals. Customer Account Representative $11-12/hr DOQ. (15 hrs/week MWF) Work on the 28th floor of the US Bancorp Center in Downtown Minneapolis, in our open-concept class A office. Free downtown parking is provided as needed. Marketing and Sales Manager None The Customer Account Representative is responsible for managing relationships with current customers, assisting interested individuals with setting up new accounts, maintaining the customer database, preparing marketing materials, and assisting with marketing campaigns. This position is part-time and may provide the opportunity to take on additional hours, roles and responsibilities depending on individual’s career development goals and current business needs/projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:    Manage relationships with existing customers predominantly over the phone and via email communications – will often use customer database to answer questions, update account info, resolve account disputes, etc. Answer inquiries from potential new customers and use soft-sell techniques to sign up new accounts. Be self-motivated and take ownership – follow-up to ensure projects are completed on time, and issues are sufficiently resolved.

Collaborate with the customer service team to ensure that customers receive high-quality, professional, prompt service. Assist the Marketing & Sales Manager in planning and implementing new marketing campaigns as well as managing current promotions. Tasks will vary greatly depending on the project – some past examples include: editing print & web content/design, producing mass-mailings, creating email blasts, etc. Provide administrative and logistical support as needed. Organize, document, and report on various activities and topics as directed.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:  Have a solid understanding of customer service and business concepts.  Have an outgoing, positive attitude, and work well both independently and with a team.  Be self-motivated, consistently striving towards improving yourself and our business, and be a willing participant and an active contributor to the team.  Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment.  Must be able to communicate professionally in person, in writing, and via phone.  Must be trustworthy and able to handle confidential information, and abide by PCI compliance rules.  Must be detail-oriented and able to enter and interpret account information accurately. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:  Customer service experience is required.  Must be very comfortable working with computers. Advanced skills using Microsoft Office programs (Excel in particular), Adobe programs (Acrobat, Illustrator, Photoshop) and/or WordPress are a plus.  Familiarity with business management and marketing concepts.  Has completed or is currently working towards college credits.
