1. What will you do to clean up Oxley Creek? Yasmin Khan, LNP: I know how important the health of the creek is to local residents, and I already have had talks with key landholders about continual rehabilitation works. Steve Grifths, ALP: Oxley Creek is in need of signicant attention and nancial commitment to support its restoration. I have been a very strong advocate for improving our local environment and have supported major mitigation and restoration projects along tributaries of Oxley Creek.

1. Drewvale bus: residents calling for a dedicated bus service at Macquarie Way estate. Adrienne Cremin, ALP: I will continue to lobby the State Government and TransLink to operate a bus in Drewvale. Ill be working with all stakeholders including residents to make this a priority. Kim Marx, LNP: My intention with this issue is to work with the new LNP government and new member for Stretton, Freya Ostapovitch, to continue to advocate on behalf of the residents for this service. 2. Pedestrian safety at Stretton State College: parents want footpath on western side of Gowan Rd and pedestrian crossing near the kindergarten. Adrienne Cremin, ALP: Unfortunately a footpath cant be installed on the western side of Gowan Rd near the creek as there just isnt enough room in the road median strip. I strongly support a signalised crossing and Ill be working with the school community to make the area safer. Kim Marx, LNP: I would be happy to work with the school to get them involved on councils SafeST funding program and Im eager to hear more from the community and the P & C on what could be achieved to make the area safer. Barry Stark, Greens: If elected, I pledge to conduct weekly water quality testing, support hardworking environment and community groups and expand environmental education programs development: 2. Many businesses went under water in the 2011 January oods. What is your view on development applications in these areas? Yasmin Khan, LNP: Ill ght to make sure any proposed development in the area can demonstrate that it wont worsen ooding impacts for surrounding residents. Steve Grifths, ALP: I have a track record of not supporting development in ood-affected area. Barry Stark, Greens: I believe that each and every development application in a ood-prone area needs to be thoroughly examined by government and independent professionals. If the development fails to meet the criteria, then it should be restored to open space.
