I'm anti-stupid. I don't know much about vaccines at all. I trust medical professionals. 2 hours ago Like 2 Jason Polk DC oh, well i just figured you wold be a good resource for what is stupid about it. 2 hours ago Like Embarrassed Cousins of Proud Parents of Unvaccinated Children I'm anti-conspiracy nuts who want to ruin public health. I don't need to know anything about mercury levels to realize someone is crazy. Just like I don't need to know about the melting point of steel or how buildings fall to know 9/11 theorists are crazy. Or I don't need to know what birth certificates looked like in the 60's in Hawaii to know Obama wasn't born in Kenya. 2 hours ago Like 1 Embarrassed Cousins of Proud Parents of Unvaccinated Children Oh I know what is stupid, if that's what you're looking for. Scott Hansen One - they base most of their nonsense off a discredited study that was conducted in 1998 by the fraudulent Andrew Wakefield that suggested that the MMR vaccine caused autism. His study was retracted from the Lancet in 2010. Anti vaxers continue to spruik this study as evidence of their claims. Two - their level of science and statistics comprehension is absolutely laughable. They fail to understand the importance of disease incidence, instead, relying on mortality. Three - they continually post studies that they claim back their case, when in reality, nearly always do the very opposite. This is due to them not understanding what it is they are reading, as their comprehension of science and statistics is so poor. Four - they continually tell others to not refer to actual medical doctors, and advise them to see homeopaths, chiropractors and naturopaths. A case in point would be the recent brouhaha regarding their deplorable advice regarding a child possibly contracting tetanus. Five - Their constant censorship of anyone that tries to correct their blatant misinformation. 2 hours ago Like Embarrassed Cousins of Proud Parents of Unvaccinated Children Have you ever seen how they ban people with any and all opposing views in their groups? A clear sign they are wrong. How every time one horrible condition they claim vaccines is responsible for turns out to be unrelated, but they refuse to believe it, or the dismiss it and go on to ten more? A clear sign they have an ax to grind and they are not concerned with the truth. 2 hours ago Like Embarrassed Cousins of Proud Parents of Unvaccinated Children Every single nutty red flag, they have them in bulk. 2 hours ago Like Jason Polk DC scott, i understand you think these people are nuts. i want to see how your superior level of science and statistical comprehension proves vaccines work so that i can actually talk to people about this stuff and not sound equally nutty in the opposite direction. 2 hours ago Like 1 Scott Hansen Baseless ridicule? No. Well informed ridicule? Yes. An anti vaxer tries to tell people about the evils of mercury in vaccines, I laugh in their face and tell them that mercury has never been used in any given vaccine. This is due to their ignorance of basic chemistry and not knowing the difference between an element and a compound. 2 hours ago Like 1 Embarrassed Cousins of Proud Parents of Unvaccinated Children Check this list. The anti vax movement is guilty of ten for ten, with flying colors: http://rcradioblog.wordpress.com/2012/02/22/the-ten-key-characteristics-of-nut-job-conspiracy-theorists/ Frank Arduinis Ten Key Characteristics of Nut-Job Conspiracy Theorists rcradioblog.wordpress.com During the show last night (the debate that was not a debate) Frank Arduini mentioned his list of Ten Key Characteristics of Nut-Job Conspiracy Theorists. Frank was kind enough to provide a copy so... 2 hours ago Like Scott Hansen If you are in the "opposite" direction, then you will only ever come off sounding insane. The science is solid. Instead of coming here, how about searching for the studies yourself, or talking to *actual* health professionals. 2 hours ago Like Embarrassed Cousins of Proud Parents of Unvaccinated Children This is not baseless ridicule. I just gave you tons of proof. Please provide me with alternate evidence, some commentary from anyone who says the anti-vax movement knows what they are talking about and will save the world. 2 hours ago Like Jason Polk DC scott, you think mercury was never in vaccines? 2 hours ago Like Embarrassed Cousins of Proud Parents of Unvaccinated Children Every possible commentary on them is negative. EVERY SINGLE ONE. That doesn't happen by accident. 2 hours ago Like Embarrassed Cousins of Proud Parents of Unvaccinated Children See? Change the subject. This has nothing to do with mercury. This has to do with crazy people. 2 hours ago Like Jason Polk DC science is solid. Instead of coming here, how about searching for the studies yourself, or "The talking to *actual* health professionals." scott, A. i am an actual health professional. B. if the science is solid, share it with me. i really have tried to cut through this debate and get facts. that is why i am here. i figured surely these people have some science (i.e. that's why theyre not as crazy as the people they ridicule). 2 hours ago Like Embarrassed Cousins of Proud Parents of Unvaccinated Children This site is not about the details of vaccines. There are other sites for that. This is about how vaccine denial is a mental illness and it will end up killing children. 2 hours ago Like 1 Scott Hansen Mercury as an element has *never* been used i9n vaccines. Don't even try going there. There is a vast difference between the element mercury and the organomercury compound thiomersal. The two have very different characteristics.

Allison Hagood Jason, this page is not an information page. There are other, better pages on FB and elsewhere with good information regarding the efficacy and safety of vaccines. Some of those include Vaccinate Your Baby; Chillin' Out, Vaxin', Relaxin', All Cool (COVRAC); Myths of the Anti-Vaccine Movement (MOAVM); Informed Parents of Vaccinated Children. Those are all Facebook pages. In terms of web pages, the Immunize.org and Vaccine.gov websites are good places to start. This page, on the other hand, is for mocking the censorship and idiocy of the AV pages on FB. 2 hours ago Like

Embarrassed Cousins of Proud Parents of Unvaccinated Children Yes, you're the victim here. You asked for my evidence for the basis of this page. I gave it to you. You are not going to change the subject. 2 hours ago Like Scott Hansen Jason, you are a chiro. To rational people - you are not a health professional. You are a quack that cracks peoples backs. And again, this is not a vaccine information page. As I said, the science is solid, the only debate regarding this is in the minds of the anti vaxers, who deem themselves more educated than the professionals (immunologists, virologists and doctors) that have dedicated their lives to the study of disease and vaccinology. Studies abound on the safety and efficacy of vaccines and vaccine programs. All you have to do is spend five minutes on Pubmed or Goggle Scholar to get access to them. As a "health professional", one would think you would be aware of this. 2 hours ago Like Embarrassed Cousins of Proud Parents of Unvaccinated Children Please, everyone. Don't let him. 2 hours ago Like 1 Embarrassed Cousins of Proud Parents of Unvaccinated Children Jason, talk to me. 2 hours ago Like Embarrassed Cousins of Proud Parents of Unvaccinated Children You asked me a question. You wanted the evidence for the basis of my page. Why are you changing the subject now? 2 hours ago Like Scott Hansen Thiomersal is still not mercury though Jason. You thought you had me with your original question, I showed that you were wrong, and yet you can't even address that. about an hour ago Like Embarrassed Cousins of Proud Parents of Unvaccinated Children Refute it. Embarrassed Cousins of Proud Parents of Unvaccinated Children What conspiracy is legit? about an hour ago Like Jason Polk DC you dont think anyone has ever conspired? about an hour ago Like Embarrassed Cousins of Proud Parents of Unvaccinated Children Show me one other conspiracy that you think is legit, where if we do a search on it every single article, without exception, says they're nuts about an hour ago Like Jason Polk DC organized crime is a conspiracy, for one. you keep talking about 9/11.....well, even the official story (and i have no reason to doubt it) that OBL organized the attacks in conjunction with Al Qaeda is a huge conspiracy. conspiracies are proven all the time in court. about an hour ago Like Allison Hagood In order for the anti-vax conspiracy theory to be correct, pharmaceutical companies would have had to buy off every government of every country in which vaccines have been studied, every health organization of every one of those countries, every employee and official of those governments and health agencies, every scientist that has worked on vaccine safety and efficacy standards, and then hope none of those millions of people over decades would talk. THAT is the level of conspiracy that the AV movement is, which is analogous to the 9/11 truther stuff, which was used as an ANALOGY, since it, too, is a ridiculous conspiracy theory. about an hour ago Like 2 Embarrassed Cousins of Proud Parents of Unvaccinated Children I think if one has conspired we should find at least one article talking about how the groups obsessed on that conspiracy have a point. Thus, they probably don't even require a conspiracy to allow shit to go on. We destroy the environment like nobody's business. That destroys our health too. Why are there not a group of astrophysicists out there against vaccines? about an hour ago Like Matt Zukowski "9/11 is in no way related to this conversation." But it is. 9/11 near as I'm aware was perpetrated by a bunch of pissed of Muslims. So it was a conspiracy, just there is no evidence the government was in on it. Vaccines same situation. We have a stellar track record spanning 50 years, and the government benefits greatly from tax payers having less down time and people not dropping dead and having to institute quarantines. Vaccines are a bit of a loss leader for pharmaceutical companies, as there is very little profit for example distributing the OPV to a billion people a year. They'd kind of upfront about the side effects, but the objective risks seem to be small compared to the risk of polio. It's highly unlikely all our history books were doctored, pictures forged, maintaining just enough people in iron lungs from the 1950s just to make it believable. Still the conspiracy theory crowd would have us believe that polio wasn't all that bad, and having a great diet boosts your immune system. One side has evidence, historical, medical, physical, the other side does not. So actually now I think about it, vax-hoaxers are bigger reality denialists than 9/11 conspiracy nuts. about an hour ago Like 1 Embarrassed Cousins of Proud Parents of Unvaccinated Children This has nothing to do with vaccine ingredients. What I am saying is the FDA is run by people who are appointed from their own industries to police themselves. For instance, they hire pharmaceutical executives, executives from Monsanto and other big food producers, etc. to police their own industries. They work in the industry, then they work in the FDA, then they get huge promotions in their industry. It is called a revolving door in politics and it is huge in the FDA. So, they make business decisions often instead of safety decisions. I referenced pollution because it works similarly.
