A basket will be provided in the Fellowship Hall to place your name tag in it after fellowship time. Name tags will only be made every two (2) weeks. Offering placed on the communion rail during Holy Communion is used to help those in need in our church and the community. Canned Food Sunday, Sept. 9 - The following items are needed to pack boxes: canned soup and dried soup mix (such as Lipton Recipe Secrets). Please remember all items must be new and unopened. Thank you for your continued support of this ministry. Choir rehearsals will begin on Tuesday, Sept. 4 at 7 pm in the sanctuary. If you enjoy singing, please join us. No experience is necessary & you do not need to read music. Make a joyful noise to the Lord. Psalm 100:1a MODELs (Mostly Older Debutantes Eating Lunch) will meet at 12:30 pm on Sept. 20 at Ivy House, in former 1890 House at 917 E. Silver Springs Blvd. If you plan to attend, please email your reservation to dhumcvol@yahoo.com or call the office by Sept. 18. Dont forget to bring a dollar to be donated to a charity at the end of the year. Lay Servant - Do you have the gifts to become a Certified Lay Servant? Are you interested in finding out? On Saturday October 27, 2012 and Saturday, November 3, 2012 (both days required), from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm, at the First United Methodist Church of Eustis, a training will be offered to help you answer those questions. The Lay Servant Ministries Basic Course focuses on the many ways lay servants are called to be in ministry through such things as leading, teaching, serving, proclaiming the gospel, disciple-making, and personal spiritual formation. The purpose of lay servant ministries as it relates to caring, leading and communicating will be shared with participants as they are encouraged to recognize and use their spiritual gifts.
