In case tender papers are downloaded from any of these websites, the bidder has to enclose a Demand Draft covering the cost of bid documents as stated above in a separate envelope with suitable superscription “Cost of Bid Documents : Tender Notice Ref: CSO/39/AB Cable accessories”. This envelope should accompany the Bid Documents.

Offers will be received upto 1.00 PM. on 12.10.2010 & will be opened at the address given below at 3.00 PM. on the same date in presence of the authorized representatives of the bidders. The schedule of specifications with detail terms & conditions are enclosed. It is the sole responsibility of the tendered to ensure that the bid documents reach this office on or before the cut off due date of tender opening.

CSO reserves the right to reject any or all Tenders without assigning any reason thereof and alter the quantity of materials mentioned in the Tender documents at the time of placing purchase orders. Tender will be summarily rejected if:

(i). Bid security @ 1% (one percent) of the Tender value is not deposited in shape of Bank Draft in favor of NESCO, payable at Bhubaneswar or Bank Guarantee. Bid security against previous Tenders, if any, will not be adjusted towards Bid security against this Tender. (ii). The offer does not contain “FOR, Balasore/ Burla / Berhampur price indicating break-up towards all taxes & duties”. (iii). Complete Technical details are not enclosed. (iv). Tender is received after due time due to any reason. (v). Tender submitted without complete sets of Sample along with detailed technical specifications.

3.0 Qualification Criteria:-

The prospective bidder must qualify all of the following requirements to be eligible to participate in the bidding.

a) The bidder must be a manufacturer or authorized dealer of a manufacturer. Incase the bidder is an authorized dealer, the bidder has to enclose original letter regarding willingness of the manufacturer to supply the items through the bidder.

b) The manufacturer of AB cable accessories, must have successfully carried out Type Test from any NABL accredited Testing House, within five years of the date of opening of the Technical Bid. The bidder should enclose copies of type test reports.

c) Bidder must quote for 100% tender quantity for any or more than one types of items.

d) Bidder should have supplied at least 50% of the offered quantity to Electricity Distribution Utility / PSU in any one year during the preceding past 3 financial years (FY 2007-08, FY 2008-09 or FY 2009-10). The bidder should enclose
