Student Parking Appeals Board Application

Thank you for your interest in becoming a part of the first Student Parking Appeals Board! Below, you will find the duties of a board member and a few other questions. Please feel free to direct any questions or concerns to any of the Student Government branch heads below. Application Process A. Applications distributed. B. Applications due to the Student Government Executive Office (150 Student Union). C. Appointments will be made by Student Body President Taylor Cox and the Speaker of the Senate Meredith Westbrook. Duties and Responsibilities Board members will undergo training by the Office of Parking, Traffic and Transportation staff to become fully knowledgeable on the rules and regulations pertaining to the appeals process. Board members will cooperate to form a rotating schedule to ensure that at least four (4) members are present at any Appeals Board meeting to transact business. Board members will participate in meetings throughout the academic year to grant or deny student appeals for parking tickets. Each member will be responsible for attending meetings at a frequency of once a week to once every two (2) weeks. Board members must show impartiality and fairness at all times to protect the integrity of the process.
