Volume II, Section 1 – Changed the following sentence from “The loan limit II-1-88

well as grade level and loan type.”
Volume II, Section 3 – Updated the Max Length of Financial Award ID (Field II-3-27
Common Record #62) from 23 to 21. A note was added to indicate that

and that the remaining 2 positions for ACG and
National SMART will always be zeros and not blanks
or spaces.

Volume III, Section 3 – Updated the valid field content of Eligibility/Payment III-3-20
Combination System Reason (Field # 38) to remove the phrase “Can be
Record Layouts blank” in the Pell Grant, ACG, and National SMART
Grant External Origination Add/Change Record

Volume III, Section 3 – Updated the valid field content of High School III-3-20
Combination System Program (Field # 39) to add the phrase “Can be blank

Volume VI, Section 2 – Updated the Advanced Funding Business Rule VI-2-3, VI-2-5
Funding Methods sections with “Beginning with the 2007-2008 award
year, Advance Funded schools will not receive an
initial CFL for ACG and National SMART Programs
prior to having records accepted by COD. The school
is given an initial CFL when their first disbursement
record is accepted and posted by COD.” The same
applies to the HCM1 Business Rule.
Volume VI, Section 2 – Removed references to the initial start dates for the VI-2-ALL
Funding Methods ACG and National SMART programs. This
information is not relevant for 07-08 award year.
Volume VI, Section 2 – Removed asterisks from “Relationship between Pell VI-2-8
Funding Methods Processing Options and Funding Methods” chart.
Updated “Relationship between ACG and National
SMART Grant Processing Options and Funding
Methods” chart to show Advanced Funded and HCM1
schools will not receive an Initial CFL before
submission of any actual disbursements.
