I buy my cherries frozen and pitted at the health food store to make it easier. pitted 1/2 cup hemp seeds 1. rich in iron. Chapter 2: Fruit Fertility Smoothies . Add more water and ice cubes (I usually use 4) until consistency is how you like your smoothies. protein and EFAs. calcium. Today’s fun ingredients are oatmeal and hemp seeds.
1/2 - 1 ripe cantaloupe juice of one lemon 1 tbsp fresh ginger shredded or juiced ice
Blend until smooth. You may need to use just a little bit of water to get the blender moving, but the cantaloupe will turn into liquid quickly. So refreshing.
Chocolate Coconut Cashew Blessing
1 banana 1 tsp raw coconut oil 2 tbsps cocoa powder (preferably raw) 3 dates, pitted or 1 tbsp honey 1/2 tsp vanilla or 1 small piece vanilla bean 1/2 cup cashews 1 cup water 1,000 mg maca powder
Blend all ingredients together. Yum.
Chapter 2: Fruit Fertility Smoothies
Watermelon Mint Cooler
2-3 cups watermelon (if it is organic you can use the skin) 1 tbsp fresh lime juice 10 fresh mint leaves 1/2 cup coconut water or water 1 serving green superfood
A refreshing drink that incorporates green superfoods into the blend. If the watermelon is organic you can also blend the skin which is full of nutrition.
1 1/2 cups orange juice, fresh pressed 1/2 cup strawberries seeds of 1 pomegranate 1/2 cup blueberries 1/8 cup goji berries, soaked
Blend all ingredients together and drink right away. The cleanest way to harvest pomegranate seeds is to scoop them out into a bowl, under water.
Chapter 2: Fruit Fertility Smoothies
Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups
1/2 tbsp sesame seeds (soaked in water overnight) 1 tbsp almond butter or peanut butter 2 bananas 1 tbsp cocoa 1,000 mg maca powder 1 serving green superfood 1/2 - 1 cup water
Add all ingredients to blender, start with some water and add as needed to get desired consistency. Almond butter or peanut butter work great in this smoothie.
Peach Pie Smoothie
1 cup almond milk 2 peaches, pitted 3 dates, pitted or 1 tbsp of honey 1/2 tsp vanilla or 1 small piece vanilla bean 1,000 mg maca powder 1/2 tsp cinnamon 1/4 tsp nutmeg
Blend all ingredients together and enjoy. Adding spices to your smoothies can help to enhance the flavors of the fruit or help to cover up superfoods which may taste strong to you.
