Italian Plum Torte !

In a large bowl cream together sugar an butter. Add our, baking soda, salt and eggs to the creamed sugar/butter and blend will. Divide batter between the 4 pans. Place 7 plum halves cut side down in each pan and press them slightly into the batter. Bake for 1 hour in conventional oven or for 35 min. in convection oven. Mix all topping ingredients together and drizzle over tortes. Dust with powdered sugar and serve warm. Also freezes beautifully. BUON APPETITO
