Will Rogers Downs Friday 21st Race 1: Mixed $10,000 Claiming NW2 870Y Jes a Dancer dead

heated for 2nd last time from the 6 hole at Fair Meadows. He moves inside to the 2 hole and has improving form. On a Texas Hero High didn’t run great last time in a race where Shells Bouquet finished 3rd. Prior to that he ran a good 2nd where the 3rd place finisher came back to win. The 6 hole doesn’t thrill me, but I think he’ll be behind trying to make a move in the stretch. Shells Bouquet didn’t beat anybody in a Fair Meadows allowance last time, which was just too tough. She’s the only runner to have won at Will Rogers before, and she’s finished third here going the distance before. She has the 3 hole in a relatively weak field. Josh Romero is taking over the mount with a 19% win rate. 2-6-3 Race 2: $5,000 Oklahoma Bred Maiden Claiming 350Y Fling Open ran a good 3rd beat ¾ lengths against non-state breds last time at Fair Meadows. Her dam was by at TB sire, so the more extra distance the better, and she’s improved every start. A P Hero will be facing the easiest group he ever has; state bred $5,000, and crushes this group in terms of speed figures and overall class. He’s the one to beat here. Tac it Like a Maui is the other main contender in this group, running close 2nds in his last 2 starts against non-state breds at Fair Meadows for this tag. He’s got 3 seconds in 8 starts and will be tough here. 5-6-3 Race 3: $5,000 Claiming NW2 250Y My Chicos B Dashing is a longshot pick. This 10 year old hasn’t run since November 2008 at Blue Ribbon. He’s run well off of an extended layoff before, citing his 2nd lifetime start where he hadn’t run for over a year (this doesn’t show on the PPs). This horse’s only win and 3 of his 5 seconds came at this track. As Happy As a Girl has run good in her last 3 starts, all at Remington against tougher. She broke her maiden here last October. Pyc Runner was nosed out last time against state breds at Fair Meadows. It’s notable that when he broke maiden at Hialeah in January it was at this distance from the 1 hole after hitting the gate. 3-6-1 Race 4: $15,000 Maiden Claiming 870Y Dominic Dante was a well beaten 2nd at this distance last time for $10,000 at Fair Meadows, but the winner was a tough one who came back to win. The 6 hole isn't great, but there isn't much early speed inside of him, so he can overcome it. Springtime Showers was beaten a head for 2nd last time against open maidens at Remington. He now takes a drop in class and has the 1 hole as opposed to the 8 hole he had last time. The Manassa Mauler finished 2nd against open maidens at Fair Meadows last time showing good speed from the 10 hole. The move to the 2 hole will be

very beneficial as there isn't much other early speed in the race. 6-1-2 Race 5: Allowance NW 2 300Y Droppin Timber won his debut in a state bred maiden at Remington with a 77 ESF. The 2nd place finisher came back to win. Although facing non state breds will be tougher, he should improve enough to be competetive here. Wash and Press ran very strongly in an open allowance at Ajax last time being beat a nose. If he can run that race again he'll be very tough getting back into his condition. Spit Curl American was 3rd in a stake at Fair Meadows where the winner won by 7 lengths. It was declared no contest. He won the restricted trial for that race by a length. This should be tougher than that trial, and maybe even the stake itself. The outside post is an advantage. 4-9-10 Race 6: Oklahoma Bred Maiden 330Y Pt Cartels Effort ran in trials for all 3 Ruidoso G1 Futurities, the best being the shortest for the Ruidoso. This will be easier and his speed figures outdo this group. Bradys Astroboy is a first timer coming from the outside. His last work was decent and it was over this surface. His trainer hits 12% with first timers and the Jockey Trainer combo comes through 17% of the time. He may be a good value play. My Blue Regard ran well in his Will Rogers debut in a $15,000 claimer finishing 4th beaten 3/4 of a length. This will be easier. 3-8-4 Race 7: $5,000 Claiming NW2 250Y The Hill Cat broke his maiden for this tag at Fair Meadows last start. This is the 2nd start of 2012, 2nd off a 314 day layoff. The 3rd place finisher came back to win. He should be tough. Bv Come To My Party has been running for $10,000 and $15,000 in his last few, and hasn't been running badly. He now drops and gets back to the track where he broke his maiden at this distance. Ivory Lane won last time for $15,000 at Fair Meadows at this distance. The lower tag will make him competetive. 7-8-6 Race 8: Mixed Maiden 300Y Peves Awsome Val ran a big improvement effort last time at Fair Meadows, being beat 1/2 a length. If she runs like that again, she'll be tough. Sexy Seniorita has been running in stake company, including $240,000 futurity at Remington back in May. This is her first start against maidens since her debut, and this a huge class relief. Sucha Countryboy was beaten a nose for $15,000 at Fair Meadows last time. That was a huge improvement off his previous effort, hopefully he can run that way again.

9-7-3 Race 9: Oklahoma Bred Maiden 330Y Maximum Turnpike was beat a nose in an open maiden at Fair Meadows in his 2nd start. That earned him an 78 ESF. Now with some experience I think 330Y will suit him. This Candys Salt broke in and didn't produce in a stake at Fair Meadows last time, but was beat a 1/2 length in the trial and earned a field-best 86 speed figure. He's the one to beat with this drop in class. Little Prairie Wagon is a good play if you like to play stats. 21% first time starter trainer, 20% jockey/trainer combo. There's only one other runner besides the above 2 that I see as a threat (Lucky Strike Mft) and none of them look to offer any value. This debut runner might be an upset at a price. 6-4-3 Race 10: Allowance NW3 250Y Ms Runaway Miracle won an open allowance going 110Y at Fair Meadows last time. Her last 2 races have been big increases in speed figures which are now competetive with this group, and she now gets the outside. Azoomin Streak won her NW2 last time at Fair Meadows going this distance. Her previous race was a good 2nd in an OK bred stake from the 1 hole. In 3 starts at Will Rogers she has a 2nd and two 3rds, and she will be tough here. Featuring Magic Man was a well beaten 2nd after being bumped last time out. The previous start in a NW2x at Remington was a good 3rd where he earned a very strong 94. He has a win and 2 seconds on this track, my only question is the distance. Out of 3 starts, 2 of them have been very poor with no excuses. 10-1-5 Race 11: Allowance NW March 21st 110Y Jazz and Corona is the only runner in this race to have won at this distance, coming on this track back in October. His last race was very disappointing, but he didn't get to the front like he usually does which is the kiss of death in a 110Y dash. I'll forgive that race, hoping for improvement today. Tell A Story is very fast out of the gate, so I think 110Y will work for her. In all 3 of her last starts the winner has come back to win again. Sv Oh Jessie Fly frequently shows speed out of the gate. She ran at 110Y 2 starts back, 5th beaten 3/4 length. Not a particularily encouraging effort, but she ran into a headwind that day, and in all her starts with a headwind, she has never broke 1st or 2nd. Could that have been part of it? 7-2-4 Race 12: $15,000 Claiming NW2 550Y Dance Master Man ran into a headwind and weakened going 400Y at Remington last time. The winner came back to repeat. If you go back to October, this guy was beat a neck going this distance at this track in his first start against winners, earning a career best 81 speed figure. Chix Latest Version won at this distance 2 starts back. She then took a few months off, came back at 870Y which may have been too far. She now shortens back up to her winning distance and has

the outside. Holiday Cash won last time at 870Y in an open maiden at Fair Meadows. In both of his 550Y races, the winners have come back to win. 4-8-3
