Who is a BAD BOSS


O Does your boss take credit for all the hard work you have

put in and all the success your team has achieved?

O Does he often put the blame on others for failure?


O Does he get a kick out of humiliating his subordinates in

Traits of a BAD BOSS


O Condescending, dogmatic, poor listener, skeptical and

poor team leader.

O A bad boss is someone who does not take decisions;

sits on issues expecting them to get resolved on their own; and when something goes wrong, readily passes the buck to the subordinate.

O Anger, frustration, shouting, illogical treatment of

subordinate, impatient, and indecision are few signs of a bad boss.

blames others, never delegates and never mentors others.

How to Tackle a BAD BOSS


O Try and understand the reason behind his behavior.
O Genuine reason - Personal problem spilling onto his

professional life.

O Being diplomatic in dealing with your boss.

O Having a one-to-one chat with the boss.


O When he/she throws a fit, get up and leave the table and

say you will come back when he/she is in a more reasonable mood.

O Having a cool head, a positive attitude, patience and

commitment helps in facing any kind of situation in life.


O Make your boss think positive about you by delivering

O Feedback system that helps alert the top management

of such situations.
O Report your boss to the higher authorities. But never

complain.
O Be ready with concrete information, sourced from co-

workers or others to support the case.

O No boss can throw out an employee as long as he performs. O Performance should not be hampered. O Make the most of it, keep up your spirit, keep scaling the

heights and maybe the boss will change after a time.


O And even if the boss doesnt change, your consistent good

performance will pave the way for your success in life.
