Figure 10.1 and 10.2 shows the light rays from two identical objects passing through a glass convex lens, J and an ice convex lens, K. The two lenses have the same curvature. The objects are placed at the same distance from the lens. Both the lenses producevirtual images. F is the focal point for each lens. The refractive index of glass is 1.5 while the refractive index of ice is 1.31.
