Pleated French-Sleeve Blouse
Page 22 This easy to wear blouse combines a classic design with feminine details. Choose
the variation that suits your style best: add the collar for a more formal look or forgo the collar
and wear it unbuttoned for a more casual, minimalist look.

2 Variations 8–1 and 8–2: Sew the bodice together at sides.

Construction Steps

Pattern (Side 2)

Sewing Tips

Bodice (for 8-1 and 8-2), Front Collar (for
8-1), Back Collar (for 8-1), Facing (for 8-1),
Front Facings (for 8-2), Back Facing (for 8-2)

When folding the facings and bias strips
to the wrong side after attaching them to
bodice, fold slightly bigger fold so that the
seam will not be visible on the right side of
the garment. Press.

1 Sew the bodice together at center back

Finish the sleeves with bias strips cut
from the main fabric, or if your fabric is
lightweight, simply fold the edge over twice
and sew.

3 Finish the sleeve edges.

The bodice pattern is divided into two
pieces on the pattern sheet. Join at marks
to complete the bodice pattern piece.

Cutting Notes
Since it is the only piece cut out through
two layers of fabric, cut out the bodice first.
Then, cut out the remaining pieces from a
single layer of fabric.
