API® expertise in a miniaturized rapid confirmation assay for Listeria monocytogenes
Designed for low and high number confirmation runs
• • • • Each Each Each Each strip contains five miniaturized assays. well allows the confirmation of suspect Listeria monocytogenes colonies. well allows the simultaneous detection of two enzyme activities. strip can be detached and placed on a holder in order to use wells for individual assays.

5 Single Detachable Assays
RAPiDEC ®Lmono - Ref. 03700 - 4 strips, each containing 5 assays

Validated use
RAPiDEC ®Lmono confirms typical suspect Listeria monocytogenes colonies (blue with halos) isolated on chromID™ Ottaviani Agosti plates. This assay has been certified by AFNOR VALIDATION (in accordance with ISO 16140) to confirm typical colonies obtained *see chromID™ Ottaviani Agosti directions (Ref. 43641) using the short detection protocol and the simplified counting protocol.*

A simple protocol with fast results
An isolated typical colony is collected with a swab and emulsified in a well to witch 50 µl of API® Suspension Medium has been added. The results can be read immediately after incubation without need for further handling or reagents.

Confirmation of Listeria monocytogenes on D2. Final results after just 6 hours of incubation (4 hours for positive results)
Flexible protocol
Reading possible after up to 24 hours of incubation at 37°C. Staining remains stable for 48 hours at ambient temperature after incubation at 37°C.

An innnovative and efficient confirmation technique
The assay demonstrates two specific enzyme activities: • Phosphatidylinositol Phospholipase C (PIPLC) activity: blue color • α-mannosidase (α-MAN) activity: yellow color These two positive enzyme activities result in Listeria monocytogenes colonies turning a characteristic green color.
