Responsibilities:

Responsible for identifying and driving prioritized maturation of surface facility projects targeting process optimization,capacity availability, reliability improvement, integrity and safety enhancements for In-situ assets to meet assets top-quartile performance targets Responsible for providing technical assurance for surveillance-driven facility projects Required to work collaboratively with reservoir and well surveillance,venture and site-based technical and operations teams to identify opportunities for deriving best economic value across the entire In-situ value-chain in a timely and cost-effective manner Participate in,and contribute surface engineering expertise on greenfield and brownfield projects ensuring that learnings from existing operations are shared and incorporated in new projects. Build a culture of continuous improvement in facility cost,delivery schedule and technical quality. Participate in root cause failure analysis (RCFAs) for surface equipment to understand failure mechanisms and develop appropriate mitigation plans to avoid similar failures in future. Responsible for providing surface surveillance input into Insitu annual and 5-yr business plans. During busy workloads of the site based technical teams surface surveillance engineers might be directly involved in supporting Operations Engineering e.g. defining/running site based FIMP projects (Field Improvement Projects) involving regular site visits. Mentoring of junior engineering staff.

Requirements:

Engineering or Equivalent Degree Minimum 3-5 years Surface/Facility Engineering experience with onsite Operations Engineering experience a plus. Registered with or eligible to register with APEGA Technical knowledge of thermal in-situ bitumen processes and/or Alberta's Heavy Oil regulatory guidelines an advantage. Effective cross team working an communication skills. Travel to site required on a as needed basis Valid driver's license required
