Salvation KJV only 1. Why do we need salvation through Jesus Christ?

Adams disobedience Genesis 2:16-17 16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: 17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. Genesis 3:6 6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. Romans 5:12 12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: Romans 6:23 23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Adam disobeyed the command of God, not to eat the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. All it took was his disobedience to bring sin and death into the world and sin was passed down to everyone on earth. The Word of God is clear that we are born into sin and it is a fact that death will follow us all as it did Adam. This is why we need the Blood of Jesus Christ to save us from our sins. 2. But I am a good person. Are you sure youre good? Isaiah 59:2 2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear. Psalm 14:3 3 They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one. Psalm 53:1 1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good.

Psalm 53:3 3 Every one of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; there is none that doeth good, no, not one. Psalm 51:5 5 Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me. Proverbs 20:9 9 Who can say, I have made my heart clean, I am pure from my sin? Proverbs 28:26 26 He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered. Isaiah 64:6 6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away. Matthew 19:17 17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. Romans 3:20 20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. Romans 3:23 23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; The Word of God is clear that we cant do anything good in His sight. No one can be just in Gods eyes because by the law we know we are sinners. God has set morals into the hearts of every one to have the knowledge of right and wrong. A little wrong is all it takes to make us sinners before a perfect God. In James 2:10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all according to the law for even your conscience will convict you. Ask yourself two questions and see what answers you get? Am I a perfect person? Have done anything in my life wrong? Your answer is? Yes or No Yes or No Sinner or perfect

There is no halfway point with sin for you are either a sinner or you are perfect

3. What does it cost to be saved? Free Isaiah 62:11 11 Behold, the LORD hath proclaimed unto the end of the world, Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy salvation cometh; behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him. Romans 5:15 15 But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many. Romans 5:16 16 And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification. Romans 5:18 18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. Romans 9:11 11 (For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;) Ephesians 2:8, 9 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. Three times the Bible refers to the phrase the free gift and two times with the phrase not of works. It is all free to us from God that sent His Son to die for us so that we could have eternal life. No one will be able to stand before God and say I have done this for you because the fact is that we have done nothing to deserve LIFE. 4. What does one need to do first to be saved? Repent Luke 13:3 3 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. Acts 2:21 21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Acts 3:19 19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; Acts 17:30 30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: God now commands all to repent of their sins and to admit that they are sinners. All it takes is one little sin to be a sinner. In Romans 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. It is this easy to repent and the example is in Luke18:13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. 5. What does one need to do second? Believe on Jesus Christ Psalm 25:7 7 Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to thy mercy remember thou me for thy goodness' sake, O LORD. Matthew 10:32 32 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. John 1:12 12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: John 3:15 15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. John 3:16 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:36 36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. John 3:3 3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. John 3:7 7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

1 Peter 1:23 23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. Three times the Bible quotes the phase born again and the third times it is mention in Peter explains it by the Word of God we are born again. We are born again because we have believed on the free gift of God, Jesus Christ. For example of the jailor with the Apostle Paul: what must I do to be saved? Acts 16:29-31 29 Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas, 30 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? 31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ 6. In whom do we believe and trust? Psalm 32:1-2 1 Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. 2 Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile. John 1:29 29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. John 14:6 6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. Romans 4:8 8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin. 2 Corinthians 5:21 21 For he (God) hath made him (Jesus Christ) to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. Only through Jesus Christ can you have eternal life in Heaven. The Word of God gave us a promise about salvation through the Blood of Jesus Christ and only by that Blood is your sins washed away clean.

7. Why Trust in Jesus Christ? Genesis 3:21 21 Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them. Leviticus 17:11 11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul. Romans 5:7-8 7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. 8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. 10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. Hebrews 9:22 22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission. God sent His Son to walk with us and to live among us and to love us. God started our salvation with Adam in Genesis 3:21. Even His name Emmanuel in Matthew 1:23 mean God with us. That if you believe in Jesus Christ that died and the God raised His Son from the dead on the third day you will be saved. 8. Salvation is a life time promise from God Mark 13:20 20 And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect's sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days. John 10:28-30 28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. 29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. 30 I and my Father are one. John 13:18 18 I speak not of you all: I know whom I have chosen: but that the scripture may be fulfilled, He that eateth bread with me hath lifted up his heel against me.

John 15:16 16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. John 15:19 19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. Ephesians 1:4 4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Titus 1:2 2 In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began; 2 Thessalonians 2:13 13 But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth: James 2:5 5 Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him? 1 Peter 2:9 9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: 1 Peter 1:3-5 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, 5 Who(the Believers) are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. Revelation 17:14 14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.

It cant be clearer that God has not only chosen us to salvation but has promised it through the Lord Jesus Christ from the beginning. In salvation, you have the promise of God that God will keep you saved all your life. In Philippians 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ. So if God started your salvation through His Son, Jesus Christ then God will not let you fall from His grace that He has promised you. Isaiah 55:11 11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. Matthew 12:31 31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. 1 Peter 1:5 5 Who(the Believers) are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. The Bible gives an example on how easy it is to ask for forgiveness. Luke 18:13 13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying,

God be merciful to me a sinner.

A simple Prayer Lord, As the publican prayed, I pray to you to be merciful to me a sinner. I do not understand your whole plan but as you have promised if I ask, Come into my heart and be my Savior that my sins be paid for by the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ who died for me on the cross and I will put my trust in you.
