I materiali ceramici posati in esterno subiscono danneggiamenti dovuti al gelo se possiedono una certa porosit. Quando lacqua eventualmente assorbita ghiaccia, aumenta il proprio volume determinando forti sollecitazioni meccaniche interne che possono tradursi in distacchi di materiale sulla superficie. Le mattonelle Cotto dEste sono ingelive quando, in virt della porosit quasi nulla, superano sempre il test ISO 10545-12 che prevede 100 cicli gelo/disgelo tra -5C e +5C senza subire nessun danno.

Ceramic materials laid outdoors suffer frost damage if their porosity is above a certain level. When any water absorbed freezes, it increases in volume, generating strong internal mechanical stresses which may cause the material to detach from the underlying surface. Cotto dEste tiles are frostproof because, thanks to their porosity value of virtually nil, they always pass the ISO 10545-12 test comprising 100 freeze/thaw cycles between -5C and +5C without suffering any damage. 74

La pulizia dopoposa obbligatoria a fine cantiere, sia per le piastrelle smaltate che non smaltate. Una pulizia dopoposa male effettuata, o addirittura non fatta, spesso causa di alonature che impediscono di mantenere pulito il pavimento nonostante una buona pulizia quotidiana. A garanzia di una pulizia ottimale si consiglia luso di monospazzola con dischi appropriati (verde per superfici strutturate/antiscivolo, rosso per le altre).

After-installation cleaning is compulsory, both for glazed and non-glazed tiles. An after-installation cleaning carried out not accurately, or not carried out at all, often results in halos preventing the floor to be kept clean despite of a careful daily cleaning. To ensure an optimal cleaning, the use of a single brush with suitable disks (green for structured/anti-slip surfaces, red for the others) is recommended.

Le nettoyage aprs la pose est obligatoire pour les carreaux maills ainsi que pour les carreaux non maills. Si le nettoyage aprs la pose nest pas soign ou sil na pas t effectu, des halos peuvent se former sur le carrelage et le sol peut devenir impossible nettoyer, mme lorsque les oprations de nettoyage sont effectues quotidiennement. Pour un nettoyage approfondi, utiliser une monobrosse avec des disques appropris (verts pour les surfaces structures/antidrapantes et rouges pour les autres surfaces).

ZEMENTSTUCK AUF WASSERBASIS Um Zement-, Schlacken-, Kalk-, Stuckrckstnde u.. aus Fugenmaterialien zu entfernen, ist mindestens 4-5 Tage nach dem Verlegen und nie spter als 10 Tage danach (damit der Stuck aushrtet) eine Reinigung erforderlich. Nachdem diese Zeit verstrichen ist, kann diese Reinigung u.U. sehr schwierig werden. In diesem Fall mssen spezielle Reiniger auf Puffersurebasis eingesetzt werden. Diese Reinigungsmittel sind leicht im Handel erhltlich. In der folgenden Tabelle sind einige dieser Reiniger aufgelistet.

STUCCHI CEMENTIZI MISCELATI CON ACQUA Per rimuovere i residui di cemento, boiacca, calce, stucchi cementizi per le fughe, ecc.., si deve effettuare la pulizia dopoposa almeno dopo 4-5 giorni dalla posa (per consentire cos lindurimento dello stucco) e mai oltre i 10 giorni. Oltre questi tempi la pulizia pu diventare molto pi laboriosa.Si effettua con specifici detergenti a base di acidi tamponati. Tali detergenti sono facilmente reperibili in commercio, alcuni di questi sono riportati nella seguente tabella.

NON utilizzare cere sui pavimenti e rivestimenti COTTO DESTE. Capita spesso che nei normali detergenti in commercio siano contenute cere o additivi lucidanti che, lavaggio dopo lavaggio, depositano sul pavimento patine lucide, causa di noie ed alonature. Patine di questo tipo possono essere depositate anche da alcuni stucchi per le fughe. Semplici alimenti come Coca Cola, vino, acqua, ecc, cadendo sul pavimento tolgono questa patina lucida e ripristinano laspetto originale pi opaco delle piastrelle. In mezzo al pavimento pi lucido, le zone senza cera appaiono come aloni opachi, in realt sono le uniche parti pulite del pavimento. In questi casi bisogna per prima cosa decerare tutto il pavimento, seguendo le indicazioni della tabella seguente. Poi, per le pulizie ordinarie, utilizzare i detergenti della tabella a fianco. KERLITE deve essere applicato su superfici planari, si consiglia luso dei pi comuni adesivi per rivestimenti di ceramica, applicati con lapposita spatola dentata da 3 mm. (a denti inclinati da 6 mm. per i pavimenti). KERLITE must be applied on perfectly flat surfaces. We recommend the use of a professional adhesive suitable for wall tiles. The adhesive should be applied using a notched trowel (3 mm), (6mm sloped toothed squeegee for floor tiles). KERLITE doit tre appliqu sur des surfaces parfaitement planes. Nous vous conseillons dutiliser un adhsif professionnel pour la pose des carreaux cramiques au mur. Ladhsif doit tre appliqu laide de la spatule dente spciale (3 mm), (peigne crant de 6mm dents inclins pour le sol). KERLITE muss auf vollkommen ebe-nen Oberflchen verlegt werden, die Verwendung von einem geeigneten professionellen Fliesenkleber fr Wand-fliesen wird empfohlen.
