Employment Notification (Faculty) National Institute of Technology Manipur, an Institute of national importance imparting quality technical education at UG level, invites application from Indian nationals with excellent academic background and aptitude for teaching for the following Faculty posts: (1) Professor 3 posts, (2) Associate Professor 6 posts, (3) Assistant Professor - 13 posts. Pay and allowances will be guided by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India norms and as per Sixth Pay Commissions recommendations.

Academic Reimbursements and Incentives In addition to the normal pay and allowances as applicable to the central government employees stationed at Imphal, following additional incentives are also available to the faculty members: 1. Full funding for attending national conference either for presenting a paper or chairing session as per Institute guidelines. 2. Financial assistance up to Rs.300000/- in 3yrs under Professional Development Fund. 3. Reimbursement of telephone charges up to Rs. 500 per month. 4. Reimbursement of relocation charges from within India to join the Institute. 5. Honorarium of Rs. 15000/- per month to the teachers who have obtained Bhatnagar Award or are having fellowship of two national academies. A faculty member is entitled for only one honorarium. Accommodation: Suitable residential accommodation subject to availability will be provided in the Campus of the Institute. HRA may be paid in lieu of residential accommodation. General Information: 1. Minimum requirement of experience/academic qualification may be relaxed for outstanding candidates. 2. Mere fulfilment of minimum qualification and experience requirements does not entitle any candidate for a call for interview. A short listing criterion may be set higher and narrower than the minimum advertised. 3. Depending on perceived availability of qualified candidates, different departments may set different short listing criteria. 4. Apart from merit, the specialization of a candidate within a department will play a vital role in selection, candidate with specialization in greater need by the department being given preference. 5. Experience and/or meritorious candidates may be granted higher than starting pay on recommendation of selection committee. 6. For the same achievement in terms of research record, younger candidates will be given preference. 7. The Institute reserves the right to fill or not to fill any or all the posts advertised. 8. Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/ Physically Challenged persons will be as per GOI norms. 9. INSTRUCTIONS 1. The Application Form should be enclosed with Demand Draft of Rs. 300/- for General/OBC category and Rs. 150 for SC/ST in favour of Director, NIT Manipur payable at State Bank of India, Secretariat Branch, Imphal 2. The candidates are to send separate application and separate bank drafts for each post in case any candidate wishes to apply for more than one post. 3. Copies of all certificates/testimonials should be attached and originals will have to be shown at the time of Interview. 4. Persons in employment should send their applications through proper channel. However, they may send a copy in advance, but it must be on the prescribed form & accompanied by the required Demand Draft, copies of certificates/testimonials etc. 5.
