SHOOTING /HOMICIDE At approximately 3:45 am this morning, the Grand Rapids Police responded to St. Marys Hospital, 200 Jefferson Ave SE, when a 24 year old male shooting victim had arrived there. The victim had sustained very serious injuries and was taken directly to surgery. It is believed that the shooting incident had actually occurred on the south/west corner of Division and Franklin, in a parking area shared by two different businesses, the Franklin Big Save and New York Chicken. This morning, St. Marys Hospital reported that the victim had died. At this time the victims information will be withheld pending contact with relatives. The Grand Rapids Police Department Major Case Team is investigating.
