Suspicious Person, 300 block of Bowman Ave, 1843 Officers responded to a report of a suspicious person. Witnesses reported seeing an unknown subject taking photos of them. Officers arrived and the subject had already left the area.

OCTOBER 17, 2012

Robbery, 1500 block of River Park Dr, 0913 An unknown suspect entered a bank, jumps over the counter and takes cash out of the registers before fleeing on foot. The suspect is described as a black male adult, 6'0" with a large build. He was wearing a teal green ball cap, teal green plaid shirt. Crime scene Investigators processed the scene and the investigation is on-going. Welfare Check, 2400 block of Seamist Dr, 1428 Officers responded on a request to check the welfare of a family member. The male subject in his 50s was contacted and transported to a local hospital. Robbery, 1700 block of Del Paso Blvd, 1539 A victim was on foot and approached by two suspects. The one suspect demanded money, took her money she offered, then assaulted her before fleeing. The victim then went to a nearby business for help. The suspect that confronted and assaulted the victim was described as a black male adult in his 20s, short, thin build, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt. The second suspect that just stood watch was described as a male black in his 20s to early 30s. Robbery, 2400 block of Rio Linda Blvd, 2036 A suspect entered the business, brandished a firearm and demanded cash from the registers. The suspect took the cash and fled on foot. The suspect was described as a black male adult, 25-years-old, 6', average to heavy build, navy blue hooded sweatshirt with orange and brown trim.

OCTOBER 18, 2012

Missing Persons, 1000 block of South Ave, 0139 Officers responded to a report of two juvenile missing persons. The juveniles were together prior to them not returning home on time. One of the juveniles has a history of similar incidents. Vehicle Stop, Rio Linda Blvd / Arcade Blvd, 0209 Officers conducted a vehicle stop and the driver was DUI. A search of the vehicle was done and narcotics and a gun were located. Both occupants of the vehicle were arrested on multiple weapon and narcotics charges. Search, 1400 block of Stephanie Ave, 1551 Officers conducted a probation search. During the search officers located 8 guns, a large amount of processed marijuana, and a marijuana grow. Officers arrested one subject for possession of marijuana for sales and various weapon related offenses. Assault, 100 block of Redondo Ave, 1908 The victim was walking down the street when a verbal altercation ensued between her and the driver of a passing vehicle. The driver of the vehicle and the pedestrian victim are known to each other. The victim reported that the driver of the vehicle attempted to strike her with the vehicle as she was walking causing the suspects vehicle to strike a fixed object in the process. No injuries were reported and a report was taken. Subject Stop, 2500 block of Traction, 2028 Officers contacted a juvenile subject and a search was done. The juvenile was in possession of a loaded gun and arrested on various weapons charges. Suspicious Person, 2400 block of Empress St, 2118 Officers responded to the area in an attempt to locate subject wanted for violating his parole. Officers were able to locate the suspect and take him into custody without incident. Robbery, 4200 block of Norwood Ave, 2120 The victim was walking when she was approached by two subjects who forcibly took property from her. Officers arrived but the suspects were unable to be located and a report was taken. No injuries were reported.

OCTOBER 19, 2012

Theft, 4200 block of Balsam Street, 0058 Officers responded to reports of wire theft. Upon arrival officers found multiple light poles with the wires damaged. The Utility department was notified and responded. Shooting, 100 block of Agoura Ct., 0100 The victim called the police when a gunshot was heard outside the home. The occupants of the house located a bullet hole on the residence. Officers responded and a confirmed that no one inside the residence had been injured. A report was taken and this investigation is still ongoing. 2700 block of Branch Street, 0107 Officers responded to reports of a subject who had exposed himself. Upon arrival officers contacted the suspect who had been detained by several citizens. The subject was taken into police custody and booked for multiple charges including prowling and indecent exposure.

Burglary, 100 block of Commerce Cir, 1931 Officers responded to a burglary alarm. Upon arrival a perimeter was set up and the call was discovered to be unfounded. Attempted Burglary, 100 block of Morrison Ave, 0234 Officers responded to a burglary alarm. Nothing was taken; however, there was damage indicating an attempted burglary. It appears the alarm scared off the suspects and they fled prior to officers arrival. Vehicle Accident, 1100 block of Exposition Blvd, 0236 Officers responded to vehicle accident. The vehicle drove into an unoccupied closed business building. The driver and passenger sustained non-life threatening injuries and were taken to an area hospital. The driver appeared to be under the influence and a DUI investigation was completed. Robbery, Roanoke Ave/Belden St, 0719 The victim was walking when she was approached by the suspect and robbed at gunpoint. The suspect took property and fled the area. Responding officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect. The victim was uninjured and a report was taken. Suspicious Person, Norwood Ave / El Camino Ave, 2113 Officers responded to a suspicious person call. With the assistance of the Sacramento Police Helicopter the subject was located and detained. Garth Gaff-31, was arrested for his outstanding warrants.

OCTOBER 20, 2012

Subject Stop, Northgate Blvd / W El Camino Ave, 0142 A patrol officer was walking toward a business when he watched as a gun dropped onto the ground from a man's waistband as the man got out of his vehicle. The officer was standing approximately 10 feet away from the subject when this occurred. The suspect was taken into custody. Suspicious Circumstance, 2400 block of Del Paso Blvd, 0154 Officers were dispatched to a shooting call where the victim was shot in the leg during a possible drive by. Officers arrived and located a scene, however no victim was found. The victim was later contacted and officers and found that the wound was self inflicted. 12-289366, Robbery, 1700 block of Cormorant Way, 0823 Officers responded to a report of a home invasion robbery. The victim stated he was outside his apartment when he was approached by a male and two females. They all went into the victim's apartment where the victim was robbed of his personal property. Sex Assault Report, 300 block of Peralta Ave, 1745 Officers responded to a report of a possible sexual assault of two 14-year-old girls. Investigation is in progress.

OCTOBER 21, 2012

Burglary, 4300 block of Norwood Ave, 0052 A victim returned to her apartment to find it being burglarized by a suspect. The suspect fled out of the back window of the residence. The area was searched by responding units, but the suspect was not located. The suspect was described as a black male, in his 20s wearing a gray sweatshirt and dark pants. Assault, 3300 block of Norwood Ave, 1546 Officers responded to the apartment complex for an alleged assault with a baseball bat that had just occurred in the parking lot. Officers arrived on scene, located a victim in the assault and found that the report of bats were unfounded. Air1 located subjects nearby and ground units detained the group. One subject was ultimately arrested for the assault. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

OCTOBER 22, 2012

Outside Agency Assist, Harris Ave / Tate Street, 1352 Officers arrived to assist an outside agency with the termination of their vehicle pursuit in the area. Placer County Sheriffs Office handled the investigation. Arrest, 2400 block of Rio Linda Boulevard, 1755 Officers responded to a wanted subject seen in the area. Upon arrival the suspect was located and taken into custody without incident. Robbery, 3300 block of Northgate Boulevard, 2008 Two suspects were shoplifting when they were confronted by a store employee. The two female suspects physically assaulted the employee and fled. The employee sustained non-life threatening injuries and was treated at a local hospital. This investigation is ongoing.
