Its time for a change

This by-election on 25 October is your chance to give your verdict on what the Tory-Lib Government is doing at a national level and how their decisions are impacting on you, your family and your community. You have an opportunity to send them a message that you are unhappy with the choices they are making. The Tory-Lib Government has already announced an average cut to police budgets of 20% and an average cut to local council funding, which pays for things like local housing and libraries, of 28%. This could mean fewer police officers on our streets and the closure of the Public Services we all need. There is an alternative to the Tory-Lib Government: Labour believes in protecting vital frontline services and securing the economic recovery with a plan for jobs and growth. But you can only have an impact on the future direction of our country and community by getting involved in the political process and voting in the elections on 25 October. Maidenhead needs a Councillor who is prepared to stand up for local people and oppose the Coalition Governments reckless cuts that go too far and too fast. The by-election on the 25 October is incredibly important; they are an opportunity to show the Tory-Lib Government that even in these tough times, people still believe in protecting the vital frontline services that we all rely on and value.
