Hymns of Praise
7:30 a.m.

11:00 a.m. Yield Not To Temptation
Yield not to temptation, for yielding is sin, Each vict’ry will help you, some other to win; Fight valiantly onward, evil passions subdue; Look ever to Jesus, He will carry you through.

What A Friend We Have In Jesus
What a Friend we have in Jesus, All our sins and griefs to bear! What a privilege to carry Ev’rything to God in prayer! O what peace we often forfeit, O what needless pain we bear, All because we do not carry Ev’rything to God in prayer!

Verse 1

Verse 1

Have we trials and temptations? Is there trouble anywhere? We should never be discouraged Take it to the Lord in prayer. Can we find a friend so faithful Who will all our sorrows share? Jesus knows our ev’ry weakness Take it to the Lord in prayer.

Shun evil companions, bad language disdain, God’s name hold in rev’rence, Nor take it in vain, Be thoughtful and earnest, Kindhearted and true, Look ever to Jesus, He will carry you through.

Verse 2

Are we weak and heavy laden, Cumbered with a load of care? Precious Savior, still our refuge Take it to the Lord in prayer. Do thy friends despise, forsake thee? Take it to the Lord in prayer; In His arms He’ll take and shield thee Thou wilt find a solace there.

Verse 3

To him that o’er cometh, God giveth a crown, Through faith we will conquer, Though often cast down, He who is our Savior, our strength will renew, Look ever to Jesus, He will carry you through.

HYMNS OF PRAISE

Verse 2

Ask the Savior to help you, Comfort, Strengthen and keep you, He is willing to aid you, He will carry you through.

Chorus

Unison Scriptures
7:30 a.m.

Matthew 6:9-15 (NIV) “This, then, is how you should pray: “‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, 10your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. 11Give us today our daily bread. 12Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. 13And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.’ 14For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.
9

11:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

Matthew 6:9-15 (NRSV) ‘Pray then in this way: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. 10Your kingdom come. Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. 11Give us this day our daily bread. 12And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. 13And do not bring us to the time of trial, but rescue us from the evil one. 14For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you; 15but if you do not forgive others, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

2012 Trinity UCC Theme Walking, Talking and Living Our Faith, Ephesians 4 (NLT)
January • Ephesians 4:1 Therefore I, a prisoner for serving the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God. February • Ephesians 4:2 Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love. March • Ephesians 4:3 Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace. April • Ephesians 4:4 For there is one body and one Spirit, just as you have been called to one glorious hope for the future. May • Ephesians 4:5-6 There is one Lord, one faith, one baptism, and one God and Father, who is over all and in all and living through all. June • Ephesians 4:7 However, he has given each one of us a special gift through the generosity of Christ. July • Ephesians 4:11 Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. August • Ephesians 4:12 Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ. September • Ephesians 4:13 This will continue until we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God’s Son that we will be mature in the Lord, measuring up to the full and complete standard of Christ. October • Ephesians 4:14 Then we will no longer be immature like children. We won’t be tossed and blown about by every wind of new teaching. We will not be influenced when people try to trick us with lies so clever they sound like the truth. November • Ephesians 4:15-16 Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church. He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love. December • Ephesians 31-32 Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behavior. Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.
