L69 7ZH I am an ethnographic researcher with ambitions to develop my research interests into post-doctoral study and larger national, and international research bids in the near future. My research interests include experiences of entrepreneurial opportunity and alternative organizational movements, and I have expertise in narrative and participatory ethnographic methodologies. My Economic & Social Research Council funded doctoral research develops a creative view of entrepreneurial opportunity by emphasising longitudinal and relational experiences of imaginative tactics. The chapter develops a creative approach to understanding case study boundaries by emphasising their emergence during study as research topic rather than ‘problem’. 2012/2013: “An Entrepreneurial Approach to Fieldwork Ethics: Creation & Relation”, in Ferdinand, J. & Worthington, F. (eds.), Doing & Writing Ethnograpy: Ethical Challenges in Qualitative Fieldwork, an Emerald Publications book series on ethnographic fieldwork. Research Bids in Progress Arts & Humanities Research Council ‘Cultural Enagement’ Program 3-month knowledge exchange project combining mixed-sites in and around creative industries of the Mersey Basin. Mixed-sites will collaborate to organise public events showcasing the region’s creative talent and create raw data around organizational imagination. Education & Research Experience 2008 – 2012 Economic & Social Research Council funded Ph.D at The University of Liverpool Management School A mixed-site participatory ethnography of the emergence and nature of musical opportunity in the Mersey Basin. Through a processual approach my work disrupts strategic readings of opportunity experience and shows how circumstantial constraint is imaginatively re-related to as style and incentive. I expect to pass my VIVA in early November 2012. 2007- 2008 MA Research Methods (Sociology) (ESRC Accredited), The University of Liverpool My scholarship funded masters study provided early opportunities to experiment with participatory research practices with local artists and develop an Arts Council England funded 'DIY' art exhibition ('45d'). My dissertation studied musical entrepreneurs in Liverpool city centre negotiating space within digitalized settings as pilot study for my doctoral thesis.

2003-2007: BA Sociology (First Class Honors), The University of Liverpool •Third Year ‘Student of the Year’ Award Academic Work Experience 2010-Present Tutor in various modules Applied Social Research Methods, (MSc level), Human Resource Management (first year undergraduate level), Strategic Organization (Msc level), at The University of Liverpool Management School. I have expertise in literature review techniques, developing research questions, and qualitative data collection methods and analysis. I am currently organising a new module at The University of Liverpool Management School - Identity, Culture, & Organisation (second year undergraduate level). 2011 – 2012 Teacher in Entrepreneurial Decision Making (MSc level), at The University of Liverpool Management School I re-designed the module around my own research interests in entrepreneurial opportunity and processual ontology, and taught and assessed the module. Strategic readings of opportunity experience were disrupted through narrative and storytelling approaches to understanding entrepreneurial imagination. Participatory Work Experience 2010 – Present: Consultant for small Liverpool based record label Probe Plus Records. 2010 – Present: Coordinator/consultant/member of 'Don't Drop the Dumbells', a notfor-profit unincorporated association/tactical entrepreneurial space. 2010 – Present: Member/consultant of small Liverpool based record label, Post Music. 2010 – Present: Member and Coordinator of a.P.A.t.T., a multimedia organization based in the Mersey basin.
