New Digital Media: Form of electronic media where data is stored in digital (as opposed to analog) form. It can refer to the technical aspect of storage andtransmission (e.g. hard disk drives or computer networking) of information or to the "end product", such as digital video, augmented reality or digital art. Florida's digital media industry association, Digital Media Alliance Florida, defines digital media as "the creative convergence of digital arts, science, technology and business for human expression, communication, social interaction and education". Online Media The term "media" is defined by the dictionary as the storage and transmission tools used for delivering data or information. However, nowadays media is often used as a synonym to mass media and news media. And media, along with everything else in this world, has evolved a lot, and when the Internet was introduced, media fitted perfectly in it, giving birth to the online media. Online Newspapers : Going online created more opportunities for newspapers, such as competing with broadcast journalism in presenting breaking news in a more timely manner. The credibility and strong brand recognition of wellestablished newspapers, and the close relationships they have with advertisers, are also seen by many in the newspaper industry as strengthening their chances of survival. The movement away from the printing process can also help decrease costs. Professional journalists have some advantages over blogs, as editors are normally aware of the potential for legal problems.
