• If you are not a Singaporean Citizen and requires a visa for the trip, please ensure that you have a valid visa to Taiwan before departure • Please unsure that you have a minimum of 6 months validity of passport from the date of departure

Chinese currency is called Renminbi. The basic unit is the Yuan. Renminbi should be changed in Singapore for better value.

WHAT NOT TO BRING
Valuable items: Jewellery, expensive watches, electronic games, etc.

What to put in your haversack?

The new measures restrict the carriage of Liquids, Aerosols and Gels in hand-carry luggage on all flights departing from Changi Airport. Liquids, Aerosols and Gels must be in containers with a maximum capacity of not more than 100ml each. Liquids, Aerosols and Gels in containers larger than 100ml will not be accepted, even if the container is partially-filled.

Containers must be placed in a transparent re-sealable plastic bag with a maximum capacity not exceeding 1-litre. The transparent re-sealable plastic bag must be presented separately for examination at the security screening point. Only one transparent re-sealable plastic bag will be permitted per passenger

Security screening
• You should not have any sharp objects with you, or in your hand carry baggage as the security screening officers will confiscate and dispose of these items. • If you need to carry such items for your trip, please pack them into your check-in baggage.

Time Difference
No time difference between Singapore and China.

Water
It is not safe to drink water straight off the tap. Bottled water will be provided in the hotel rooms and during outings.

Electric Power
The electric voltage in China is 220V/50Hz and the standard wall socket has three-connectors. Two-pin sockets and some three-pin sockets are in use.

Upon request, most hotels will provide plug adapter to visitors. However, it is recommended that you bring your own travel plug adapter.
