Tales with a Twist

Our programme ‘Tales with a Twist’ commences as of January 2013, once a week, for 2 hours, and is addressed to children between the ages of 5 and 10. Your children will have the opportunity to spend two creative hours in an English speaking environment, thereby improving their conversational abilities, where through diverse activities, their creative latent talents will be tapped into and they will have a platform on which to express their emotions, as well as simply have fun. I. Lights, Camera, Action: through specially formulated games and activities, your children will get acquainted with the ability to express and communicate their feelings. Drama will also benefit them by boosting: • • • • • • • • Confidence & self esteem Concentration Cooperation Develop Imagination Develop Empathy Improve ability to communicate Improve kinaesthetic awareness Improve rhythm, speech & public speaking

II. Singing and having a blast: They will learn songs, read stories and learn to articulate correctly. III. Physics and Creativity: With simple physics experiments their logic will be stimulated and thus their horizons opened. They will learn how to keep busy at home, with arts and

crafts and how to use things from our every day life to create and have fun. (For example: Vitro painting, creations on canvas, jewellery making, using clay).
IV. Fly away with me: Through dancing and music and crafts, your children will have the ability to open a window to the world, as well as learn about different countries, cultures, customs and traditions. We can’t wait to meet our new friends….. to learn, play and create our very own ………

A bit about the teachers:

Anastasia Kappatou: A highly talented, motivated and dedicated actress, teacher and mother of two children. Anastasia has a Bachelor of Arts Degree, Higher diploma in Education, and an honors degree in Drama, for which she received the award for top performance. She was chosen for PACT in 1995 and she has lots of experience at University, schools and in Public Playhouses as well as appearing in drama TV series and advertisements in South Africa, UK, and Greece. She has worked in private high schools and primary schools in South Africa, Greece and UK, over the past 15 years, and has directed and written many high school musicals, as well as at the University of Kwazulu-Natal South Africa, as a tutor of speech and drama.

Rania Kyriakidou: An energetic and fun personality, business woman and mother of two children. Rania has a university degree in marketing and management (BSc - Lancaster University, U.K.) and has also spent time in Italy studying the language after her degree. Speaks 4 languages (Greek, English, Italian and French), She has been working for the last 18 years at her family’s business in Marketing and Sales, has traveled all over the world and loves arts and crafts, and creating.

From Saturday 5th January and every Saturday, from 11:00 am – 13:00, at our specially designed place.

Cost for taking part : €60 per month (for 8 – 10 hours per month).
