MSU (Media Switching Unit). It is similar to a layer-3 switch, and adopts 1+1 backup for 48 ports GE switching. MSCU (Media Service Control Unit): media service control unit for content control. This unit adopts 1:1 backup. SOMP (System Operation & Maintenance Main Processor): main processor unit for system management and operation maintenance. The unit adopts 1:1 backup. MSTU (Media Storage and Transfer Unit): media storage (M di St dT f U it) di t and transfer unit. The unit adopts N+1backup. MDU (Media Distribution Unit): media distribution unit for creating multicast stream for live service.
RMSTU: the rear plug-in card of MSTU is used to place large capacity hard disk and to provide external GE interfaces for MSTU MSTU. RMDU: the rear plug-in card of MDU is used to provide six GE optical/electrical interfaces for MDU. RMSU: the rear plug-in board of MSU is used to provide GE electrical interfaces for MSU frame cascade. RMSCU: the rear plug-in card of MSCU and SOMP is p g used to provide external FE and 485 interfaces for MSCU and SOMP.

Storage Solution
The system storage function is implemented by the RMSTU plug-in card (the rear plug-in card of MSTU). Th Z MSTU) The Zone3 outlet on MSTU provides four 3 tl t id f SAS/SATA interfaces to RMSTU. An RMSTU can provide three 3.5 inch SATA hard disks for data storage.

Software Structure
It is used to deal with various application protocols. For example, SIP and RTSP in IPTV system. It is mainly used to shield protocol units against processing of lower layer units. It controls data management and resource management. The operation and maintenance sub-system provides external operation and maintenance interfaces.

Protocol Sub-system
If the VOD content is not in the local ZXUSS VS8000C, RTSP starts MLSS searching operation, and returns the t t hi ti d t th search result to STB. If the VOD content is in the adjacent ZXUSS VS8000C, RTSP transmits the RTSP signals to the adjacent ZXUSS VS8000C while receiving the STB request, and g q keep the long time connection with the adjacent ZXUSS VS8000C.
