a time to be

“Eagle Ranch is the best thing that we hoped would never happen to us.” These words were spoken by a mom at her daughter’s graduation from the Ranch program.

“I’m thankful for family and for the opportunities

I’ve had at Eagle Ranch. I used to argue with my family

a lot. I was making poor decisions. I don’t yell anymore. and depressed. Now I’m happy. I’ve renewed my faith in Christ, and I feel so much closer to God.”
The Love Home

We all get along better now. I was unruly, uncontrollable

Although we all like to think we can work through problems at home ourselves, sometimes they can become so overwhelming that more help is needed. That’s where Eagle Ranch can step in to provide support for struggling families. Needless to say, it’s difficult for a child to be away from home, but many times that’s what is needed to bring healing to them and to the relationship with their family. We are honored to partner with parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles to bring hope and healing where there previously was despair and hopelessness. Thank you for your concern and support. God’s blessings to you and your family. Sincerely,

Travis, 15

Edwin J. Staub Executive Director

Our Mission
Eagle Ranch provides a Christ-centered home for boys and girls in crisis and in need of hope and healing. Partnering with their families, we pursue family restoration and reunification. We seek to influence and equip others who share a similar calling to impact children, families and future generations.

The Eagle Ranch mission is possible only through the support of a community that sees the value in providing a home for local children who are hurting and in crisis. Hundreds of volunteers provide many needed items and assistance so that staff can remain focused on the children. The grounds stay beautiful through church groups and individuals who help with everything from landscaping to equipment repair. Our school receives help with tutoring and instruction in special projects. Sports teams host special events that help motivate and inspire our boys and girls. Other needs, ranging from prayers for our children and staff to vehicles and food, are also generously provided. These are a few examples of volunteers benefiting Eagle Ranch. We are thankful for the time and talents of all who lend a helping hand.

Small Equipment Repair
Don Painter maintains and repairs the Ranch’s small engine equipment, saving the Ranch thousands of dollars annually. Industrial Depot stocks small hardware bins and provides equipment at no cost.

A Community That Cares

Board of Directors & Board of Advisors
The Eagle Ranch Board of Directors, the governing body of Eagle Ranch, is composed of business and community leaders who volunteer to ensure the Ranch is a good steward of its many gifts. The Eagle Ranch Board of Advisors is a group of notable leaders from a variety of industries who work with the Ranch to provide advice, counsel and assistance as needed.

Hall County Quilt Guild
Each year, more than 50 members of the Hall County Quilt Guild create quilts for Eagle Ranch. Each child chooses which quilt best suits their personality and keeps the quilt after they graduate from the Ranch.

Lawn Mower Team Food Storage
Every week, a group of dedicated volunteers oversee the Eagle Ranch on-campus food storage facility. More than $70,000 has been saved in 2012 due to these efforts and the contributions of local stores and major food companies.

A group of more than 20 doctors, dentists, veterinarians and chiropractors provide their services to Eagle Ranch staff for free, or at a reduced rate, allowing the Ranch to focus more of its resources on the children.

Weekly Meals
More than 150 men and women from neighboring communities prepare meals for the boys and girls on a weekly basis.

For years, a small group of local men have volunteered their time to keep the campus grass looking beautiful. In addition to this team of volunteers, Kubota Tractor Corp. chose the Ranch as a test site for prototype mowers in 2012. Each week Kubota staff mow the common areas at no cost.

contributes to our daily operational funds and provides a way to recognize loved ones. Numerous people have learned about the Ranch mission for the first time as recipients of an honor gift or by participating in a memorial gift designation. As a result, people have referred families with children in crisis to the Ranch, while others have become lifelong supporters. If you know people who would be inspired by the Eagle Ranch story, consider honoring them through this opportunity. To make a gift: mail a check to the Ranch with the form on the back of this newsletter, call the Ranch office, or go online to
