Hope In The Lord

Psalm 105:1-5 1 O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people. 2 Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works. 3 Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD. 4 Seek the LORD, and his strength: seek his face evermore. 5 Remember his marvellous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth. KJV Be ye of good courage, a cheerful heart; lift up your heads, lift up your hearts because we serve a great wonderful God – Jehovah Jireh, our provider. My Christian friends, our sojourn on earth is filled with varying traps set be the devil and his angels for those who yearn for the prize earnestly contend in faith. There is uncovered manhole, rocky road along our pathway. We suffer stress, sickness maligning, hunger, death and many times we see these as insurmountable / overwhelming obstacles in our pathway. But guess what my friends, O give thanks unto the Lord, call upon His name, make known His deeds among the people. Do as Peter did when he was sinking, he called out and affixed his eyes on the Lord – the Way, the Truth and the Life. Saints in Christ, though our lives resembles a tattered old ship in a huge boisterous storm: being tossed to and fro, taking in water with no land in sight. But guess what we are not hopeless – look to the Lord, ye people of God. Christ can make the crooked straight; He can lead us safely through the storms of our life. Look unto the Lord, sing unto Him in Psalms; talk ye of all His wondrous works. Hebrews 12:22b… “I will never leave the nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me. We must glorify God’s name according to His marvellous works He has perform in us and through us despite the storms, despite the shame. Christians, draw back the curtain of your life and glorify God’s matchless name and let thy heart rejoice and quench the flame of disappointment, suffering and stress and rekindle the flame of the Spirit of God. The flame of the Spirit of God has been quenched by bitterness, strife, stubbornness, laziness, rebellion and the other forms of ungodliness. Wherefore it allows

the Spirit of the Lord to renew us as we cleanse our soul appropriating the blood of the lamb on our sin sick soul. My friends, we spend too much time worrying and complaining about that which beset us, which is there to prove us (1 Peter 1:7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ). We need to ensure that our suffering is according to the will of God and commit the keeping of our souls to Christ in well doing as unto a faithful Creator. 1 Peter 2:15 – For so is the will of God , that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men. KJV 1 Peter 4:19Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator. KJV As Christians we often recite Psalm 27 and other passages of hope and trust but rarely put our belief in them as our life living do show that we do not hope in the Lord. This is clearly demonstrated as we allow the storm clouds of our trials to be as a darkened night around us: thus stifling our view of God’s light, which brings hope, peace and tranquillity. But remember my friends, God had provided a fire by night to lead and reassure the people of Israel on their sojourn to their land of promise. In like manner, His Holy Spirit is within Us/His believers to accomplish same: reassuring the church on our sojourn to the kingdom of God.

THERE WILL ALWAYS BE SUNSHINE. Whatever your cross, whatever your pain There will always be sunshine, after the rain Perhaps you may stumble, perhaps even fall But God's always there, to help you through it all
Psalms 27:1-14 The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? 2 When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell. 3 Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against

me, in this will I be confident. 4 One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in his temple. 5 For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock. 6 And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the LORD. 7 Hear, O LORD, when I cry with my voice: have mercy also upon me, and answer me. 8 When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, LORD, will I seek. 9 Hide not thy face far from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation. 10 When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up. 11 Teach me thy way, O LORD, and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies. 12 Deliver me not over unto the will of mine enemies: for false witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breathe out cruelty. 13 I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. 14 Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD. KJV My friends remember, “Look unto the Lord, sing unto Him in Psalms; talk ye of all His wondrous works.” Take the focus off your trials and keep your eyes on the Lord; because you and “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” Philippians 4:13
