I heard from Pegi McEvoy that Michael DeBell is not in town this Monday the 30th. She says we were briefly looking at the 17th (which wouldn't work for either Michael or Jose) and are now looking at August 6th_gth. FYl - Only the 6th

Hi Aleta, Per my vm message, I'm trying to confirm whether or not Superintendent Banda is available to attend a briefing on the potential of a downtown school. We're also trying to confirm Director DeBell's attendance. The preferred date is this Monday, July 30, 8:00 -9:00 a.m. in the Mayor's Office. Councilmember Burgess and the Mayor are both available then. The alternative date is Friday, August 17, 8:00 a.m. in the Mayor's Office. Thanks for your help.

I just learned that Michael DeBell can't meet this Monday for a briefing on the downtown school. We had the Mayor, Burgess and Banda, but Pegi said we cannot go forward without Michael or Kay, both of whom are out of town. Apparently DeBell will be out of town a lot in August, except he will be in town the week of August 6, but I believe the Mayor will be out that week. August 17 won't work for DeBell. Do we delay and try to get the meeting scheduled the beginning of September? Pegi - is that too late to get at least some placeholder-planning money into BEX IV?
