The investigation of bio cell deformability is one of the important methods to diagnose their cancerous transformation. Many methods were applied to investigate the cells deformability such as atomic force microscopy (AFM) indentation, micropipette aspiration, optical stretching and measuring of the cells traction force (CTF). Here we introduce a rapid method for investigating the cells deformability based on their shear force on vertically aligned carbon nanotube (CNT) arrays. Our results indicate that the renal cancer cells have significant deformable structures due to their deformation shape CNT arrays as well as their shear force which is in the nano Newton range. This study presents a carbon nanotube -based methodology for quantifying the mechanical behaviour of single cells, which could be useful for understanding the metastatic behaviour of cells. In this work, ZnO nanocrystals were successfully synthesized using solgel process at low temperature and characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The nanoparticles were stabilized on the cellulosic fabrics surface. The SEM images revealed the formation of the coating aggregates on the fiber surface. The bactericidal activities of samples, tested with Escherichia coli, respectively. The treated cellulosic fabrics indicated an antimicrobial activity against Escherichia coli bacteria. These modified cellulosic textiles are potentially useful; as antibacterial fabrics in a wide variety of biomedical and general use applications. Preparation of nanoparticles (NPs) using solvent evaporation method is influenced by various factors. The desired nanomedicines are generally achieved by trial and error method with no specific rule. we used a 3-factor, 3-level BoxBehnken design to optimize (DTX)-loaded poly d, l-lactide-co-glycolide-b- poly ethylene glycol (PLGA-b-PEG) nanoparticles formulation with polymer concentration (X1), drug concentration (X2) and ratio of the solvent to water (X3) as the independent variables and particle size (Y1), poly dispersity index (PDI) (Y2) and loading % (Y3) as the responses. Analysis of the data showed that the best model to predict the optimal responses for particle size, PDI and loading % were quadratic, quadratic and, linear, respectively. At the end of this study, we can produce the high quality DTX nanoparticle copolymer PLGA-PEG, which has the minimum size, maximum loading% and minimum polydispersity. In this study, nanotechnology was employed to enhance chitosan functionalities for extending strawberry shelf life. Three concentrations of aqueous nano-chitosan were studied by laser light scattering particle size analyzer, and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) in order to study particle size distribution and morphology of the nano-particles, respectively. Strawberries coated with dipping method, stored at 51C and 70 5% RH. The effectiveness of coating treatment was evaluated in terms of weight loss, fungal growth and fruit decay, firmness, sensory qualities and microbial assay to determine extending the shelf life. The results demonstrated that chitosan treatment could keep the freshness of fruit and reduce fungal decay and microbial growth as well as water loss of samples. Moreover, coated strawberries showed maintenance of their firmness, and all the sensory qualities during the storage period (20-30 days). By contrast, strawberries which lack coating treatment infected, dehydrated, wilted and lost their sweetness flavour and smell 2days after storage. Coated samples had superior sensory acceptability in comparison with uncoated fruits. From which, formulation containing 0.75% and 1% chitosan exhibited similar effect on samples but higher than that of 0.5%, confirmed the great protective value with low concentration. This paper describes a novel green method for the synthesis of palladium nanoparticles. Aqueous extract of Pistacia Atlantica plants Fruit was employed for the bioreduction of Pd2+ ions to Pd0. Probably phenolic and triterpenoidic compounds in the plants biological matrix are responsible for reduction of Pd ions and starchy compound is available in this biomass could be acts as a stabilizer agent. The characteristics of the obtained nanoparticles were studied using UV-Vis absorption spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy-dispersive spectroscopy (EDX) and X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD). The results indicate that biological synthesis of Pd nanoparticlrs in aqueous media with high stability and without any impurities could be performed with biomass products. Experimental results showed that the average size of synthesized Pd nanoparticles was about 60 nm. Keywords: Palladium; Nanoparticles; Bio-reduction; Pistacia altantica; Biomass APP 089

CuO:Fe nanostructured thin films with different concentration of Fe were deposited on glass substrate using spray pyrolysis. The influence of Fe3+ with different dopant concentration Cu1-x FexO (x=0.00, 0.05, 0.10, 0.15) on the structural, optical and antibacterial properties was studied. CuO:Fe thin films were characterized using methods such as X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), ) and UV-Vis spectroscopy. The samples show the formation of the CuO monoclinic crystal phase. Optical studies show the increase of optical band gap with doping. The antibacterial activities of the samples were tested against Escherichia coli (Gram negative bacteria) cultures by drop test method. Due to efficient and unique properties of TiO2 nanoparticles their application in a widely range of different areas from electronics to cosmetics to biomedicine has been increasingly enhanced. Thus, it is essential to investigate potential genotoxic effects of these nanoparticles on beings health. The aim of this study was to evaluate effects of TiO2 nanoparticles on bone marrow cells in vivo in male Balb/c mice. In the present research using a sol-gel method TiO2 nanoparticles were synthesized and characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and Fourier transform Infrared technique

Glycoside was extracted from Alliaceae plants and studied its amphiphile properties. Also, these properties were compared to synthesized surfactants properties as SDS, CTAB, CPB and Tween 80. This plant was powdered by using high energy ball milling, and then studied obtained nanostructures properties. Also, nano size effect was investigated on the detergency properties of extracted glycoside from Alliaceae plants and was compared to synthesize surfactants as CTAB, SDS and Tween 80. Our investigations showed that the obtained nano powder from this plant has better detergency properties than synthesized surfactants. The synthesized surfactants detergency was modified in presence extracted nanostructures from this plant. ing method. The synthetized nanoparticles were functionalized with N-(2-aminoethyl)-3-aminopropyl trimethoxy-silane (EDS) to prepare positively charged amine-nanoparticles. Amine-functionalized silica nanoparticles in different concentrations were used to fabricate reinforced alginate beads for 3D encapsulation of CHO cells. Incorporation of silica nanoparticles markedly enhanced the alginate bead integrity and durability. The MTT cell viability assay results showed that the aminesilica nanoparticles with different sizes have no significant cytotoxicity effect on the CHO cells. The obtained results from the cell proliferation tests revealed that no considerable adverse effect on the cell growth can be observed for the alginate beads incorporated with amine-silica nanoparticles, as compared to that for the bare alginate beads.

(FTIR). The results demonstrated that Anatase TiO2 nanoparticles successfully produced at 300oC have a mean crystal size of 20 nm with the spherical morphology. Moreover, constant Ti-O-Ti covalent bands were observed without any contaminations (organic/inorganic). Then, different doses of nano-TiO2 were intraperitoneally administered to mice. After treatment for 24 h, animals were sacrificed and their bone marrow cells were investigated using Micronucleus assay to evaluate genotoxicity and abnormality induction. The results indicated an induction of micronucleus formation in a dose-dependent manner, suggesting that TiO2 nanoparticles have an ability to induce chromosomal damage and genotoxicity in bone marrow cells in vivo.
