How To Use a Gift Number for Gift Selection

You want to find a perfect gift for a friend, a business associate, or a loved one. You want to delight the recipient with a gift that is highly appreciated. Yet, what gift would that be? If you are uncertain what gift to choose, this document is for you.

Different People Like Different Things

Often, people are unclear about what they like and don't like. Maybe they just never think to mention it. Or they assume you already know. Maybe they themselves don't know. Unless the recipient is understood exceptionally well, it is likely sooner or later a gift will be appreciated less than another gift would have been.

Choosing the Gift

To determine the type of gift most likely to be appreciated and to delight the person, obtain the gift number. (A link to an online calculator to obtain the gift number is further below.) When the type of gift is determined, select a gift of that type for the recipient.

The Gift Number

The key to a gift most likely to be appreciated is found in the gift number. The gift number is calculated from the person's name and optionally also the person's birth date. Unlike most numbers calculated using professional numerology techniques, the gift number may be calculated from incomplete information a nickname or professional name instead of the full birth name, for example. The day and month of birth may be used even when the year of birth is unknown or, if no birth date is known, the information is omitted from the calculation. Calculating the gift number from incomplete information generally will result in a different number than had the calculations been from full information. But that is OK, is actually preferred, as I'll explain. It is OK because of the relationship of the gift presenter with the gift recipient. The name (and optionally the birth date) the recipient uses in the relationship is the preferred information from which to calculate the gift number.

Page 4 of 16 AffinityNumerology.com

Each kind of relationship has a different tone, a different quality of complexity. A gift for a casual acquaintance is a different tone than a gift for a family member. A gift for a loved one is a different tone than a gift for a professional associate. To calculate a gift number that resonates best with the recipient as an individual (as distinct from resonating with a relationship), then use the full birth name and the full birth date. However, to calculate a gift number for resonance with both the recipient and the relationship, use the name and optionally the birth data the recipient uses within the relationship. Whatever the relationship of the gift presenter and gift recipient, some types of gifts will be more appreciated than other types. The gift number is used to determine the type of gift most likely to be appreciated. Note that the gift number only determines likelihood, not a guarantee. Age-appropriateness, societal expectations, and the recipient's life experience all can have an effect on how much a gift is or is not appreciated. Use the gift number as a guide to give a gift likely to be appreciated and to delight the recipient.
