Summary
This resolution serves to approve a partial code enforcement lien release attached to a property (8462 NW 34th Manor) in Sunrise, FL currently owned by Federal National Mortgage Association for the amount considered, while at the same time maintaining the City's code enforcement lien on the property located at 4741 Northwest 41st Place in Lauderdale Lakes, Florida.

In an effort to sell the Sunrise property, Federal National Mortgage Association (property owner) has increased its offer from $500 to $1,500 for the partial lien release. The City Attorney will provide additional details on the issue at the upcoming meeting. Funding Source: not applicable

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE AND ATTEST, RESPECTIVELY, THAT CERTAIN RELEASE OF LIEN PERTAINING TO 8462 NORTHWEST 34TH MANOR, SUNRISE, FLORIDA, CURRENTLY OWNED BY FEDERAL NATIONAL MORTGAGE ASSOCIATION, IN CONSIDERATION OF THE PAYMENT OF ONE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED ($1 ,500.00) DOLLARS; PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City is the owner of a code enforcement lien which affects two properties, 4741 Northwest 41st Place, Lauderdale Lakes, Florida, and 8462 Northwest
34th Manor, Sunrise, Florida, by virtue of the provisions of Chapter 162, Florida Statutes,

which gives rise to a lien on all property in the County, owned by the violator upon a finding of liability, and WHEREAS, the City has been requested by the current owner to release its lien on the property located in the City of Sunrise, in consideration of the payment of One Thousand Five Hundred ($1 ,500.00) Dollars, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LAUDERDALE LAKES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas

upon its final passage. ADOPTED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LAUDERDALE LAKES AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD NOVEMBER 13, 2012.
