Poll: Mob ‘justice’
Do you think a community that depends on their livestock for survival is justified in murdering a man suspected of repeated stock theft? Yes, it’s a matter of survival. Yes, but only if the police do nothing. No, they should let the law take its course. No, but they should gather evidence to help the police.

The event is an initiative by the FSE&CC to recognise and Times Newspaper encourage excellent leadership practices by business owners. The competition has been termed as a vehicle for honouring great leadership in the workplace. "It is Media News not only to award employers and business leaders who have gone an extra mile, but also to call News Article attention to the integral role played by the private sector in developing the country," Chester said. Chester added that the awards were set to be an annual event, and the business event of the year. Each year, a theme will be chosen which will further be the basis of the competition. This year’s theme is ‘Talent Management: The key to improving Productivity. Chester added that businesses that have excelled in putting in place outstanding Human Resource management policies and best business practices, including corporate governance, as well as policies on research and development, gender and disability discriminatory practices, empowerment of SMMEs in their areas of supply chain, mentoring and coaching will be awarded. "To ensure the highest standards are maintained in running the awards, the survey was outsourced to a consultancy company, Empowered Intellectuals to make a research into companies which are non FSE&CC members. KPMG is further ensuring quality by auditing the data collected and analysing it to find the rightful winner," she said. Chester also mentioned that each participating company would be given feedback based on data collected by the awards’ independent consultants. This is said to allow participants to identify their core strengths and weaknesses, and devise strategies that would maximise the former and maximise the latter. The participants will obtain comprehensive information that can be useful in improving their competitiveness and performance. The key note speaker for the awards will be the Prime Minister Barnabas Sibusiso Dlamini. There will be also a presentation by Director of the Brenthrurst Foundation in South Africa, Dr Greg Mills.
