Wine Lovers, have you recently dropped into your local Express to look for a specific bottle of wine (your everyday favorite, or for a special occasion), but found that the label you're seeking is not carried in the store's assortment? We have some great news! New wines have been added to the main Distribution Center, which supplies wines to all the Exchange/Express stores. The wine you're craving may now be available, even if you have not yet seen it in your local wine department. Knowledge is power. Armed with the right information, you can help your Exchange / Express / Shoppette / Class Six manager find the wines you want. Listed below are the wines most frequently requested for holiday entertaining, giftgiving, or cellar stacking. While there may be slight variations in prices (due to Euro fluctuations), the "secret" identity code (or CRC number) for each of the wines remains unchanged. Using these CRC numbers, store managers can order wines from the AAFES/Exchange Distribution Center, even if the label is not regularly carried at the manager's specific location. That is reassuring, isn't it? While this knowledge does put you in the driver's seat, knowledge also carries responsibility: Remember, not every store manager may be willing to undertake the efforts required to place special orders. Most wines are shipped in standard cases of six or 12 bottles; while you do not have to request a dozen bottles (or any minimum) of a desired wine, it may encourage the Express/Exchange managers to place the special order if they feel that they have a market for the wines.
