position of HR Director. This is a significant appointment in the future of the school. The successful candidate will have had senior level experience and impact in the provision and management of commercial or public sector, education specific non-teaching services. The main purpose of the role HR Director is to lead, manage and provide professional skills, technical capabilities, specialist subject knowledge (including employment legislation) integrity in decision making and operational activity that is required for the effective operations of Human Resource Management at Stretford High School. The appointment of an experienced HR Director is intended to develop a professional HR function within the School. The post-holder will need to have the knowledge, confidence, and skill to lead, influence and advise staff of all levels in matters of HR; develop, introduce and oversee HR strategy, policy and practice; in effect professionalise the Schools HR function; and, at the same time, be comfortable with the wider, more general responsibilities incumbent on a senior member of staff in a collegiate organisation. The effective and efficient execution of this role must enable the teaching staff and the Senior Management Team to give the very best of what Stretford High School offers to children, by developing the school with detailed operational plans, while also fulfilling all regulatory and statutory requirements.
