NOTEWORTHY ACHIEVEMENTS! I have had a great fall with you all and really enjoyed watching your growth. Everyone has been making such great progress and it has been evident in your results. Several seniors sang on College Night and got lots of exciting feedback and encouragement from colleges around the region. We also had a number of students prepare for the KMEA Jr. and Sr. All-State auditions. Congrats to Lauren Adams (Morton Middle) who was selected for Jr. All-State Choir. Congrats to Adam Kern (Henry Clay High), Emma King, Eric Minion, and Megan Hall (Lexington Catholic High) who were selected to be part of the Sr. All-State Choir. There will be several other opportunities next semester to participate in, including State Solo and Ensemble Festival and Spring Voice recitals. For current sophomores and juniors, you are also encouraged to consider auditioning for the summer Kentucky Governor’s School for the Arts. Applications are due in late December.
