UCC Happenings
Decorating for Christmas Do you like to decorate? Then you should help us decorate the UCC for the Christmas season! We’ll start after the 10:30 a.m. Mass on Sunday, December 16, most likely at around 11:45 a.m. If you can’t stay to help but want to contribute, please donate some poinsettias to help make our Chapel look even better! All poinsettia donations can be left behind the front desk. Catholic Services Appeal: Update As of Tuesday, December 4, here are our totals for the Catholic Services Appeal campaign: 7 gifts for $700. Our goal for the UCC this year is 27 gifts and a total of $4,550. There’s still plenty of time left for you to help us reach our goal! Donate before the end of the month and all donations will be counted towards our final numbers. Remember, if we reach our goal, the Diocese will give the UCC $75,000, money which would be put to very good use! Envelopes for this appeal can be found at the front desk. Prayer Intentions Please keep the following in your prayers -Ricardo Flores -Richard Gravois -Henry Baca, Fr. Jamie’s brother, who has been diagnosed with stage IV cancer Please let us know of any prayer requests so that we, as a community, may keep you in our prayers. Email all requests to Fr. Ed at frednowak@utcatholic.org BoxTops for Education Way to go, UCC! Y'all have turned in 567 BoxTops! It's holiday time now. There's lots of cooking, baking, and partying going on. Remember, BoxTops cover items from A to Z, and from breakfast to dinner with snacks in between. Check out the list in the lobby next to the collection box. Paulist Fathers’ Mission Statement We give the Word of God a voice in pulpits and print, on radio and television, on the Web and the wide screen. We search out those who have no church home, and welcome home those who have been away. We share the passion of St. Paul for unity in faith and solidarity in mission among all the baptized in the body of Christ. We build bridges of respect and collaboration with people of other world religions. We welcome people of diverse racial and cultural backgrounds in our parish, city center and campus worshipping communities. The Gospel we preach calls for all the children of God to be treated with dignity and justice. We claim Isaac Hecker as our founder, the Holy Spirit as our primary guide, St. Paul as our patron and laity as our valued partners in mission. We are the Paulist Fathers.
