Prof. (Dr) D.N. Reddy took over as the Chairman, RAC on 20 June 2012. Presently he is also New Delhi and Regional Chairman, AICTE (SCRO), Hyderabad. Formerly, he served as Vice-Chancellor, Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad (Aug 2008 to Aug 2011) and Vice Chancellor i/c, Osmania University, Hyderabad (Feb 2011 to July 2011). Member, University Grants Commission (UGC), Born on 15 August 1950 in Andhra Pradesh, he completed his school education in his home state. His specialization is in Mechanical Engineering. After completing B.E. (Mechanical) with first class and distinction from Osmania University, Hyderabad (1968-74), he took his M.Tech in Thermal Engineering (Mechanical) with first class from I.I.T., Madras (1974-76). He pursued Ph.D on Turbo Machines (Mechanical) from I.I.T., Delhi (1983-86). Having a long professional and administrative experience, he could give substantial contribution to diverse areas of institutional, curriculum and laboratory development.
