Dear Parishioners of St. Francis Xavier Parish: Christmas is not only a time to receive and give gifts but also a time to say thank you for all the year has given us. This little card is given to you all to simply say thank you: thank you for all the prayers, support and help you have given to me over the years. May God bless you all and keep you all “flu” free. May the Christ child—the greatest gift given to us all bless you and fill you with his joy. Fr. Kevin Rand

UPCOMING EVENTS AT S.F.X. Bereavement Group Mtg. Rm. #1
S.F.X CWL LENDING LIBRARY
In conjunction with Pope Benedict’s decree making 2012-2013 a “Year of Faith” in the Catholic Church, our parish CWL is undertaking a special project. It plans to establish a lending library in a vacant room of the rectory, whereby parishioners may access books, CD’s, DVD’s etc. which might nurture one’s faith development, increase one’s knowledge of Church teachings, or simply enrich one’s spirituality in daily living. The CWL has budgeted a limited amount of money for the purchase of appropriate resources, but it is also reaching out to parishioners who may have spiritually based resources in their homes that they have read or listened to, and are no longer using. If you have any books, CD’s or DVD’s that you are willing to donate to this worthy cause, please drop them in the basket so designated at the main doors of the church. Please put your name on the resource so that proper acknowledgment can be made. All donated items will be screened for conformity with Church teachings.
SATURDAY EVENING MASS: Beginning Saturday, January 5, 2013, Saturday Mass will begin at 4:30 p.m. We are aware that the time change will impact unfavourably on a few parishioners however, we are very fortunate in this community to also have the availability of 7:00 p.m. Mass on Saturday evening at Our Lady of Fatima Parish.
ST. FRANCIS XAVIER PARISH MISSION FEBRUARY 18TH - 21ST, 2013
