GeorgeHind29 October 2012 15:25 (Comment to Vikki) this is looking cool I got Sumatran Super Hero so mines based in rainforests and swamps so our kind of lairs seem similar in a way :) GeorgeHind4 November 2012 15:58 (Comment to Victoria Hatton) Hey I love this Idea and the thought of a 1960's female bot spy sounds amazing that time period is one of my favourites, just the whole groovyness of it all sounds like it's going to be fun! Can't wait to see your influence maps! GeorgeHind4 November 2012 08:04 (Comment to Vikki) ohhh I love the images you've used her especially the different variety of styles and the amphibians that you've used the top left one seems to have some kind of alien look, very cool :) GeorgeHind4 November 2012 18:23 (Comment to Shannon) I really like 11 the way you've done a birds eye view and the perspective looks nice it shows how deep it is, if I'm seeing it correctly ha shannon mason5 November 2012 01:56 Cheers George, I was liking the birds-eye view aswell but i'm not to sure if it will limit the details of the work and what will eventually be my hero prop: a ring of giant rocks as a shrine. So although the birds eye view looks pretty cool I'm not 100% it's going to be the best choice for this unit

GeorgeHind7 November 2012 11:32 (Comment to Vikki) Hey Vikki I really like 7 as it has an entrance to a pond is that a statue on top of a Lilly pad or the god itself? I also have something in one of my concept art books at home that I will have to show you on friday to maybe give you some more ideas if it's helpful! :) Vikki7 November 2012 11:54 Ah thank you George, yeah that'll be helpful :) its supposed to be the god, just to get a rough idea of size. :) GeorgeHind8 November 2012 21:13 (comment to Victoria Hatton) hey I like this. maybe of you're still doing the whole 60s thing she could have some groovy prints? Hey Shan I'm really loving 22 the lighting it gives off is quite ominous especially those spikes coming out the ground, very good. GeorgeHind10 November 2012 11:11 (comment to Vikki) That seems like a really cool way to do things a great way to get ideas out! like Victoria said number 4 looks like a good one for a lair, I can just imagine at the bottom of the stairs or under the bridge are the eggs of your god. looking good keep them coming!!7 GeorgeHind11 November 2012 18:18 (comment to Kym) Hey the book idea looks awesome I love your ideas and the design you've done for the corners! GeorgeHind11 November 2012 13:56 (comment to Shannon) The lighting you've done is really effective Shan especially 27 maybe you could put more in the foreground, like spiked rocks like you've done in 25 but looking awesome dude GeorgeHind12 November 2012 23:51 (comment to Victoria) these look really cool I love the design for the chair seems futuristic yet 60s obviously you're getting the style right! :) keep them coming! GeorgeHind13 November 2012 20:17 (Comment to Victoria) Interesting she is a strong sounding character I like that. S-FEA i like how it sounds like Sophia not sure if that was intentional most probably was haha but it's cool GeorgeHind13 November 2012 22:20 (Comment to Victoria) 3 looks interesting feel like I'm looking at a disco ball like every light would reflect off it gaining loads of attention! :) GeorgeHind13 November 2012 16:13 (Comment to Vikki) 8 seems to stand out to me most as i can see there but visually i like 3 GeorgeHind14 November 2012 07:45 (Comment to Vikki) it would be interesting to do it based on the characters attitude towards the eggs? so say if the character cares for the eggs she places them carefully in rows trying to nurture them but if she is just someone who doesn't care and is just like oh another egg lets just chuck it onto the egg pile with the other hundred eggs. I hope that makes sense :)

GeorgeHind14 November 2012 22:38 (Comment to Kym) very interesting bible on how your character turned undead and the way the casino could work is if they die and lose their money they get taken and killed or kept in some kind of chamber until the moon comes Kymberly Mumford14 November 2012 22:40 Thats an awsum idea thanks :) GeorgeHind14 November 2012 17:22 (Comment to Shannon) ah this is looking better it feels like a space has been filled a lot now that you have put your prop into the scene. GeorgeHind15 November 2012 17:51 (Comment to Kym) 4 seems most interesting and I can see it in maya the environment behind the door way could be a matte painting! looking good kym keep them coming GeorgeHind23 November 2012 12:41 (Comment to Vikki) haha yeah exactly what jake said I love how you've made it some kind of nest to keep the eggs in and it's looking more clear and clean. A good piece of work coming along! GeorgeHind26 November 2012 13:23 (Comment to Vikki) looking good cant wait till its complete GeorgeHind27 November 2012 12:55 (Comment to Shannon) this is looking amazing keep going shan :)

shannon mason5 November 2012 02:03 Hey George, I'm looking forward to seeing how the wild feel to your environment develops into your thumbnails as you progress. Also the tiger mask is a great idea as a hero prop, you could look into the props for the lion king theatre performance if you wanted some more ideas towards the hero prop. Great stuff :) shannon mason14 November 2012 14:39 i think the hollow tree is a great idea (left hand corner of no.2) cool stuff George!

*Red indicates a reply to the comment above some cool images here, your character sounds like he might live in the treetops in a rainforest somewhere :) GeorgeHind30 October 2012 14:57 Yeah I from my research I found out that they have a lot of rainforests, swamps and volcanoes so there's chances he could be in one of those. As a bit of a back story I found out the Sumatran tigers, rhinos and orangutan are going extinct so his role as a super hero is to be the protector of the forest and save them from extinction :) Vikki8 November 2012 01:19 some great drawings here george, i really like the idea of a tiger-head-helmet :) Vikki10 November 2012 13:43 hey george, some good ideas here. :) if you're a little stuck as to what to fill the room with , maybe look at different rock/tree formations, and turn them into structures e.g. cool looking tree branches holding up the hut from inside, maybe that could take up some space? i can picture him having ribbons/banners hanging up too maybe.. hope that helps! Vikki13 November 2012 16:26 i like these floor plans, looks like a good way to get the lair arranged :) they look good as stand alone images too. i think 3's my favourite Vikki14 November 2012 03:12 these are looking good, i really like the design of water coming out the cave entrance.i can see 1 and 2 working well as a modelled version already, :) Vikki15 November 2012 10:09 I like the positioning of the giant tiger-head-waterfall in 6, it kind of looks like its embedded into the rock? its almost like it could be watching over your character in his lair...:) Vikki21 November 2012 14:55 i do like 7, its awfully cute! but i think that 10 would suit your character more, a bit more masculine, a bit more bulky and such. :)

....though, thinking about superhero masks from superheros in comics etc, the masks are usually similar to thumbnails1,3,5,7,9.

*Red indicates a reply to the comment above looking at 1, i like the way the turned up nose area makes the lines look almost abstract - i think it would be cool to see an abstract tiger design on 1 Vikki22 November 2012 15:54 i think 1 would be a good hero prop to go ahead with. :) Vikki26 November 2012 11:48 this is looking good. i like the paintded look of your concept . look forward to seeing it maya-fied. good luck : )

Victoria Hatton4 November 2012 01:26 Hello George, I see that you've put a few Super heroes down... so are you basing your character on those specific Heroes? I was expecting to see Superman and others, so was curious. :D GeorgeHind4 November 2012 08:10 Well, my hero is From Sumatra so it's pretty much filled with wildlife and animals so I wanted him so have a feral kind of aspect to him like the Sumatran Tiger which is why I have these type of super heroes because they have some kind of link to animals Victoria Hatton4 November 2012 09:30 Oh, that's cool! Be a good environment to do, too! Have you checked this site out?

http://www.comicvine.com/characters/

It's got a load of Superheroes that many haven't heard of, but it still helps. :) Victoria Hatton8 November 2012 02:20 I agree! I didn't except a tigers head, thats a fab idea! Really good drawing too! It'd be cool to experiment with the colours of the tiger too... rather than just orange, try opposites of the scale? :D

Nice one! Victoria Hatton13 November 2012 13:52 That's clever. I like that! That's going to look so good as a concept and in Maya! Good luck. :D Victoria Hatton14 November 2012 02:19 I like the floor plan. I hope it will help you successfully pull this off. I'm looking forward to seeing this, it's one of my favourites in terms of style and structure. :) Victoria Hatton15 November 2012 12:09

*Red indicates a reply to the comment above Are you going to be making the bamboo more prominent? I thought it was going to be the main feature in the room... in the thumbnails the bamboo looks too blended in. I do like the first one - very nice. :D GeorgeHind15 November 2012 12:38 the floor is made of bamboo and pretty much everything is made from it most of the architecture its just its drawn and probably isn't detailed enough I'm sure photoshop will give a better example

Kym
Kymberly Mumford12 November 2012 02:56 I really like thumbnail 6 where you've made the table part of the tree :). If your having trouble with what to put in his secrete lair maybe you could think about what he uses the lair for a bit more, how much time he spends there, is it his home as well as his base of oporations? Kymberly Mumford15 November 2012 10:24 I really like number 6 as well. If your struggling with the perspective what I did when I was struggling with the perspective in my image is add the ceiling in as well it alters the scale a bit but if you get it right can be quite effective, not sure if it'll work with you but might be something to try :) Kymberly Mumford26 November 2012 16:44 I really like it :)..your going to have have fun modelling that lol
