Matched Savings Program Financial Manager

Capital Area Asset Builders (CAAB), a nonprofit organization founded in 1996 to help low- to moderate-income individuals improve their financial management skills, increase their savings, and build wealth, is hiring a full-time staff member to manage the day-to-day operations of our financial education program, Reports to: Director of Matched Savings Program Status: Full-time; regular Compensation: $40,000 to $50,000; plus a generous benefits package.
Reconcile general ledger transactions weekly for participant withdrawals. Review and/or correct Matched Savings Program bank account statement transactions prior to Accounting Department monthly reconciliation. Responsible for tying out total monthly Outcome Tracker Account Balance for all participant withdrawals to Quickbooks Accounting system GL cash balance. Prepare Net Worth Analysis for prospective participants entering Matched Savings Program. Review and approve client applications for program eligibility. Work with clients and partners regarding missing documentation. Conduct In-Take training for new participant enrollees. Perform data entry responsibilities into Outcome Tracker for new and existing matched savings / IDA participants. Prepare training material and conduct training of internal and partner staff on CAABs application processes/procedures. Represent the matched savings program and CAAB at local events as needed. Assist IT staff in the update of CAABs website with current Matched Savings Program information.

Assume primary responsibility for downloading control and escrow account bank statements and mail out of monthly client bank statement. Maintain orderly client electronic or paper files and records. Other duties as assigned by Director, Matched Savings Program or Executive Director. Candidate Requirements for Program Financial Manager Candidate must have a minimum of 3 years work experience in bookkeeping or accounting procedures. Must have a minimum of two years experience in non-profit accounting processes. Candidate must be well organized, coordinated and detail oriented. Must have experience with Quickbooks Accounting System.
