A research paper does not need a title page. The title, student’s name, instructor’s name, course title and date should appear in the upper right-hand corner of the first page of the paper. The title is never put in quotation marks. QUOTATIONS Poetry Verse qoutations of one, two or three lines are incorporated in the text, put in quotation marks and separated with slashes ( / ). Verse quotations of more than three lines are separated from the text, indented ten paces from the left margin, without quotation marks. Prose Prose quotations of not more than four lines should always be incorporated and within quotation marks. Longer prose quotations should be introduced by a colon or a comma, separated from the text, indented ten spaces and without quotation marks.
