INTRODUCTION

Leadership exists in everywhere, whether in the organizations or among a group of people, leader is the person who guide, motivate and bring all the people together to achieve the goal. They are important in the development of a country as if the leaders are incompetent, the countries would fall. However, it is hard to observe and choose the right leader that suit the organization or society in the early state. It is true as German people who choose Adolf Hitler did not know and expect what kind of leader he would turn to be. Apart from that, there are many leaders who have makes a big contribution to the society, country and even to the world. Steve Jobs and Bill Gates are the typical examples of the great leaders in U.S. With their brilliance, they manage to bring in tremendous profits to their own company and bring in new innovation in the technology which benefits the whole world. In Malaysia context, the great Malaysian leader who is recognized by the people of the nation and even by the world is no others than the country fourth prime minister, Tun Mahathir, a distinctive leader who is not only good in analytical thinking but also has the ability to identify the way to solve the problem. For such, his mission and vision when he was the prime minister of Malaysia was to push and to transform Malaysia into a develop country in 2020. His effort in promoting Malaysia to be recognized in the world is undeniable. Another example would be Tony Fernandes, one of the Malaysian leaders who manage to change AirAsia, one of the Malaysia Airline, from a non-profit company to become a profit organization.

2.0 LEADERSHIP PERSPECTIVE THEORY There are many types of leadership theories that have been developed over the two decades. Leadership theory has been known by many researchers as one of the most complex theories. It has been evolved through the trait theories, behavioral theories,
