To check the effect from vertical and lateral loads, frame analysis was done using the computer package "ETAB". When considering the whole building, frames in "Y" direction are the critical frames. Hence a full frame analysis done for frame 7(A-K) is detailed here. To consider alternate span loading and lateral load effects in "Y" direction, eight static load cases were selected. Another two static load cases were selected to represent the loading in "X" direction. To reprent alternate span loading in "Y" direction, two static load cases for Dead loads as Dead 1 (D1) and Dead2 (D2); and two static load cases for Live loads as Live 1 (L1) and Live 2 (L2); were selected. Wind 1(W1) static case was taken for Wind flows from front side of building and Wind 2 static case was taken for the wind flows from rear side of building. Static load cases " N1" and "N2" was taken to consider notinal horizontal loads to the building. When notional load is critical than factored wind force, unfactored notional loads were taken instead to Wind force, as per Cl. 3.1.4.2 of BS 8110 To get the axial force which exerted from the "X" direction of the frame, two static cases called, Dead 3 (D3) and Live 3 (L3) were taken to consideration. Static Load Cases: Dead 1 (D1) To represent the alternate span loading Dead 2 (D2) in "Y" direction. Dead3 (D3) - To represent the loading exerted from "X " direction. Live 1 (L1) To represent the alternate span loading Live2 (L2) in "Y" direction. Live 3 (L3) - To represent the loading exerted from "X " direction. Wind 1 (W1) To represent the wind loading in front Wind 2 (W2) and rear in "Y" direction. Notinal Loads (N1) To represent the notinal loading Notinal Loads (N2) in front and rear in "Y" direction.
