This manual is dedicated to empowering everyone, (especially our youth and my three precious daughters, Sarah, Mary, and Celeste) with self-administered drug free techniques to deal with the challenges of life and to tap into their unlimited potential.

Preface

Since 1996, John Detillier, Jr., founder and President of Changing Lives, has exposed thousands of individuals to this work in free informational seminars. These seminars were held for elementary and high school students, college health fairs, adult education students, teachers and administrators, massage therapy students, wellness groups, and even a prison staff. John also participated in business expos, health fairs, hospital seminars, business groups, employee health fairs, Rotary, Kiwanis and Womens club meetings, and seminars held at hotels and public libraries for the general public. John volunteered and assisted the Association of Thought Field Therapy (ATFT) Trauma Team that worked with traumatized hospital workers from the New Orleans Charity Hospital after Hurricane Katrina with wonderful success, as well as many local residents in the affected areas. He has participated as a guest on talk radio working with surprised listeners successfully over the phone. John has also appeared on The Extra Mile television show. The impact of these seminars has far-reaching, positive, and life-changing results. John knows that by putting this work into a manual, it will be another tool for individuals to successfully Tap Into Their Unlimited Potential.

I want to personally thank my children, Sarah, Mary, and Celeste, for the sacrifices of not having dad at home on many occasions because of out of town trips and trainings. I am grateful for the opportunity to assist them with the Tap4Success System and it was a privilege and pleasure to have trained my youngest two daughters as Advanced EMF Practitioners. Sarah, my oldest daughter, graciously volunteered to model the tapping points for the manual. One of her desires is to be a model (its a start). But most of all, I thank God for helping me to find my passion in life and allowing me to be of service to others in such a rewarding capacity. Chapter 1 The Tap4Success System Routines Introduction These routines will seem strange but remember that the success of these simple techniques is indisputable as evidenced by testimonials of thousands of satisfied users. Remember, acupuncture has been around for thousands of years and acupressure was used before needles were introduced. We are balancing the energy in the body as we are stimulating these energetic points in the body by tapping with the fingertips. The speed of relief from administering these techniques is almost unbelievable when compared to the traditional forms of behavioral therapies utilized that usually require months or years to resolve issues. As youll experience, these routines can assist in an instant. The most exciting part is that they can be self-administered. Please note that for more difficult cases, it is best to work with a practitioner trained and skilled in administering these techniques. Oftentimes, results can be achieved quicker and longer lasting with the assistance of others. The power of intention of both the practitioner and client assists in the process of the healing. For your convenience, you many want to try phone sessions in the comfort of your own home as you clear the emotional baggage of your past. As always, remember persistence is a key in the success of these techniques. There is no limit to the number of times that these routines can be performed. You can use them upon waking in the morning, before meals, after washing hands, at stoplights, bedtime, or any other convenient time. Remember, also to drink plenty of water. Water is a conductor of electrical energy and the routines are balancing these energies in the body. There are many different tapping routines. For all of the tapping techniques in this manual, please utilize the index and middle fingers of the dominant hand used in making the peace sign, if possible. Some routines may require tapping on the dominant hand and you

will have to use the other hand. Put the fingers together and use for tapping to put peace in your body. (See Figures 1-1 & 1-2 on page 3). As you tap on the appropriate spots, you should gently tap enough to feel the pressure being applied on the point, but not hard enough to hurt yourself. Remember, you are just stimulating the point. Before starting a tapping session, take a deep breath in through your nose and out through the mouth. You should repeat this simple deep breathing exercise 3 times and then you can start the tapping routine. As you are utilizing these techniques, lets use a Subjective Unit of Distress (SUD) to gauge the success of this work. Lets use a scale of 1 to 10 as a SUD score on your issues to get a before and after reading. We will be showing and explaining 6 simple self-administered routines to be used. As you work with these routines, notice which ones have the most positive effect on you, as determined by your SUD level change. Those will be the ones that you will utilize on a consistent basis during your life as you are dealing with the challenges of life. We also have an advanced technique as well as individual routines that well discuss at the end of this chapter. The most important thing to remember when performing these routines is to keep your mind tuned to the issue that you are working on.

Daily Tapping Routine

This routine can be used upon arising in the morning and also before going to bed at night while thinking about or reciting your goals for your life. It is important to have goals in all areas of your life, physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, financial, social, and school or career. You attract into your life like magnets those goals, which you persistently pursue with passion and determination. Remember, ask and you shall receive. It can also be performed while reciting your favorite intentions or prayers. Remember, intentions give power to your desires. The important thing to remember is to have your mind "computer screen" tuned in to your desires and intentions while performing the Daily Tapping Routine. One of my favorite affirmations is from The Master Key System, written by Charles Haanel in 1912, I am whole, perfect, strong, powerful, loving, harmonious and happy. It is also important to visualize yourself already achieving those goals and desires. The power of visualization has the capacity to transform your dreams into reality. Also, when visualizing your goal, get into the feeling that you will have when achieving it. This is a vital step that many people are not following in the accomplishment of their goals. Another important component of achieving your desires and intentions is to have faith. As the Bible states, If you have the faith of a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain to move from here to there and it is done. This gives you some additional techniques to enhance your ability to raise your consciousness and increase your frequencies to become more balanced, centered, and successful in life. You can also use this routine throughout your life at any time to balance your energy systems, as situations arise while tuning in to your issues.

1) Using the right index and middle fingers, gently tap 12 times on the end of the right eyebrow, while simultaneously using the left index and middle fingers to tap 12 times on the end of the left eyebrow. This is on the outside edge of both eyebrows near the temples. (See Figure 1-3 on page 5). 2) Tap 12 times on the Top of Head. This spot is at the crown of the head even with the tips of both ears. (See Figure 1-4 on page 6). 3) Tap 12 times on the Thymus Point on the Chest. This spot is on the thymus point about two inches down from the top of the bone right below the windpipe. (See Figure 1-5 on page 6). -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------REPEAT THIS 3 Step Routine 3 times. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------NOTE that The Daily Tapping Routine can be repeated as many times as you like until you feel balanced and centered. I enjoy performing it upon arising in the morning and before going to bed at night. As you can see, this routine does not take long to perform and can be taught to anyone.

About the Author

John Detillier, Jr. has over 25 years in the computer industry and has been involved in management and motivation of employees for 15 years.
