May God make your year a happy one! Not by shielding you from all sorrows and pain, But by strengthening you to bear it, as it comes; Not by making your path easy, Ac dolor ac adipiscing amet bibendum, massa But by making you sturdy to travel any lacus path; molestie ut libero nec, diam et pharetra sodales eget vitae aliquet. Not by taking hardships from you, But by taking fear from your heart; Not by granting you unbroken sunshine, But by keeping your face bright, even in the shadows; Not by making your life always pleasant, But by showing you when people and their causes need you most, and by making you anxious to be there to help. God’s love, peace, hope and joy to you for the year ahead!

The Women’s Bible Study group concluded with a salad and soup supper December 12 at Sue Koster’s home. Throughout the ten weeks, women watched Beth Moore’s DVD entitled “Believing God.” Each week we stated the Five Statement Pledge of Faith: “God is who He says He is. God can do what He says He can do. I am who God says I am. I can do all things through Christ. God’s Word is alive and active in me.” Mark 9:23 says that we must have hope and that nobody has the right to take that hope away from us. Here are some of Beth’s inspirational words: Have a blast Thurs/Feb 7- No UMW with each other in His word! Miracles can happen; we cannot Wed, Feb 13- 6 pm Pancake take the supernatural out of Christianity. God delights in our company. Keep portraying our heritage. Christmas Eve Candlelight Service
A nice crowd gathered on Christmas Eve at 6 pm to the theme of “Season Your Getting.” Vaugn & Carolyn Kloster lit the Advent candles. Eli Odle sang and Susan Beichley played the flute to “What Child Is This?” Pastor Dean’s message was “Jesus As the Gift!” He reminded us that Jesus is a gift for everyone; we each just have to accept Him. Communion was observed and as candles were lit, Kelly Newcomb, organist, and Sue Koster, pianist, played “Silent Night.” The closing carol, “Joy to the World,” was meaningfully sung as all agreed that our Savior does indeed reign and that He comes to make His blessings flow.
“For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.” A Blessed New Year, everyone!
