Hinckley's Chap. 8.

2: Saturday with the Spirits

Part 2 of Chap. 8, gen. 5 grows up, and the songs continue. And you thought I was finished! (Legacy)

"Mommy, where do babies come from?" "Well Leah, when a Mommy and Daddy love each other, they want to spread their love to children of their own" "Mommy, I don't get it." "You'll get it when you're older honey." "Amelie, the hot tub is ready!" "Coming dear"

Speaking of babies! Welcome back to the Hinckley Legacy this is Part 2 of Chapter 8. The first part was "Blood, Sweat & Tears" and if you haven't read it already, you should go do so right now :) "Excuse me, Layla, I said Shoo Flee already!" Oh, right right, get on with it then.

Okay Amelie, what do you want to name her? I suppose another L name huh? "This is Lana" Another red haired, brown eyed girl just like her sister Leah.

Both Peter and Gavin are there to witness Lana's birth.

And the two quickly scoop her up so that Amelie can get some rest.

Poor Lacey who was in the same room at the time of the birth was woken up by Amelie's screaming. But Peter has everything all taken care of it seems.

Thank goodness for that candle! I just wanted to point out that Peter is one of those people who... enjoys feeling one with the water...

and Amelie. Watch out you guys, don't get too comfortable with 8 sims in the house, it doesn't mean you're safe from more kids! "Mmmf go mmm away mmf Layla" ....will do!

"Dad Dad Dad!" "Ew, my armpit stinks" "Dad Dad Dad!"

You all should know what orange Hawaiin matching outfits mean by now...

It's birthday time! I just can't resist it's too much fun having them all coordinate. (For all of you who don't have Family Fun Stuff, you are definitely missing out on making all of your families suffer through matching outfits, hey I enjoy it!)

And Luke blows out his own candles as the family looks on.

No more twin toddlers! Yes!

He looks just like his father would at this age... where is *the nose*

He definitely doesn't have it.

Now it's Lacey's turn.

I have a feeling that this is where *the nose* is hiding this generation, just a theory...

*Can't think of a caption for this slide* Hey, it's cute.

And we have a good little fairy on our hands...

And what is that...

Could it be? *The* Nose... Ladies and gentlemen, we have a winner. Miss Lacey Hinckley, has *the* nose.

The two twins were so tired after their birthdays that they went straight to bed. Here's 'ol Grandma Jo tucking Luke into bed. "Mmm, cheddar haired boy... must.. have.. grilled cheese!"

The next morning it's a race to the school bus. I got dibs on the dark fairy making it first.

And then suddenly the newly made over Luke makes a break for it!

Fast foward 7 hours later and Luke seems to be the last one off of the bus. Let's see how they faired.

Hey don't be too hard on yourself it was your first day afterall. "I don't understand, I thought my report on all things pink went off without a hitch!" Umm... right.

And here we have Peter maxing out body so he can finally get promoted again and become General.

Grandma Jo takes the honors of helping little Lana on her first birthday.

She looks like a little clone of Leah, but hey, Leah is cute, so I'm not complaining.

Lana also skills really quickly. It's amazing how much of a difference being a twin or not effects skill building. Poor Luke and Lacey skill so slowly.

And Amelie has finally done it. She has just become a professional party guest, and she will be permanently platinum now! Hooray :) "Does this mean that I can just blow bubbles all day long?" No "What do you mean no?" Now you have a new life time want of becoming a hall of famer. "I already finished one!" And? "Why I oughta... *mumble mumble mumble*"

While Amelie complains, a good portion of the rest of the family enjoys the sprinkler. From the left we have Peter, cousin Nadia, Luke and then Lacey on the furthest right in pink.

And now I'd like to introduce "Deep thoughts with the sprinkler" Luke *Some of that water just went up my--*

Lacey *Hahaha, water just went up Luke's...*

Leah *I am the Queen of Water, my shake is greater than that of any dog ridding itself of moisture after the rain*

"I believe I can fly I believe I can touch the sky I think about it every night and day I spread my wings and fly away" It's like synchronized swimming!

Nadia and Lacey are very close, you can definitely see their family resemblance as well. Honestly, Lacey looks more like her cousins than her brother and sisters.

"Son, I know you don't want to eat grilled cheese all the time, but it keeps your Grandma Jo happy, and trust me, we don't want her mad"

"Hello boys! How's the grilled cheese?" "...good..." "Good"

"The tale of Connie, the ice cream cone and her friend Wally, the watermelon slice. One day the two were walking down the street. When Wally asked Connie, 'Does anybody really know what time it is?' And Connie replied, 'Does anybody really care? About time?'" Umm... Leah... you know what you are copying right? "No, I made this up all by myself!" ... mhmmm

"The tale of Connie, the ice cream cone, and Wally, the watermelon slice part 2." ........ hmmm I can't believe Leah expects me to write part 2 especially since part 1 was so good! Just quote Chicago. "Who's Chicago?" *Sigh* Kids these days!

Grandpa G decided to dust off his parenting skills and teach little Lana how to walk.

Aren't they so cute together?

Umm... Marylena, giving food offerings to the statue outside of the mauseleum is not going to help you get into this family.

I mean, Cheyenne, Jace, Madison and George don't really eat anymore...

There you go, give it to the living! What a brilliant idea! On a side note, everyone of the "services" rings the mauseleum's door first. It's really annoying actually. They also drop off boquets, roses and presents there too.

And Lacey finally gets her A+ a couple days after Luke.

Amelie and Audrey are still really close. But that's not the only reason Audrey is here.

It's Leah's birthday today! I can't even start saying how excited I am to see how the Hinckley genetics are going to be different this generation. Not that I don't like *the nose* Who am I kidding? Do you like *the nose*?

"I wish to have....."

A horrible outfit? Because if that's what you wished for you'll be happy when you open up your eyes...

"Oooh, my hand is still here." And your nose is still small!

Wow, Leah looks quite different from the Hinckleys of chapters past, but that's not necessarily a bad thing, now is it?

"So, Melody, I want to have kids when I grow up. Three to be exact, and I want them to all be educated, and then I want them to get married and have babies, and live happily ever after!" ------------------Leah is a family sim if you didn't pick up on that, her LTW is to graduate 3 kids from college. She is the first family sim in the Hinckley family, and her LTW isn't that bad :)

Sung to the tune of "Saturday in the Park" "Saturday, in our back yard, Leah hit that bag really hard"

"Saturday, on our back porch I think Grandma Jo just ate some truffles"

"Peter's dissecting"

"Gavin's painting.."

"Luke reads Paula Dean's cookbook"

"And Lana plays with toys"

"If you want to join the Hinckleys, Saturdays are not full of fun, They are full of skill building Saturdaaaaaays" -----------------------------------------------Yes I realize it didn't all rhyme.. but it does go along to the tune very well, and yes, that is another Chicago song. On a more serious note, after one morning of skilling, Amelie taught Leah 8 skill points of body! She only has to get cleaning up to 8 as well and then she's all done with scholarship skills.

And it's time again for a birthday at the Hinckleys, it's Lana's second birthday, and everyone is excited.

Lana is such a darling.

"I got ants in my pants and I need to dance" --Doesn't she look like she's trying to dance like James Brown? No? It's just me... oh.

And I think Lana is officially a clone of Leah, but like I said before, that's alright with me. Now, if Ethan from generation 4 had a clone, I may have cried... Who's Ethan you say? You honestly don't remember?

Well here's your reminder, and yes, he is giving birth in the picture. Ah the life of spares.

Speaking of crying. Lacey, you should really put some shoes on! Oh, it's still Saturday, and it's still skill building day, but I'll spare you the Chicago knock-off.

"Grandma Jo, are you using a Paula Dean recipe?" "Son, who's Paula Dean?" "A famous chef" "Does she make grilled cheese sandwiches" "No" "Then I never heard of her!"

Still Saturday, still skilling.

"I think I have the perfect match for you Miss Hinckley"

Orlando Centowski? Seriously? He is so 2004 when I first got this game... *sigh*

But Leah has decided to make the best out of it anyway.

Leah doesn't have a problem at all with charming this fashionably challenged youth that is Orlando Centowski.

Hey, your first kiss doesn't have to be with the hottest guy on the earth, it's just that it happens at some point or another.

"I can't believe I just kissed him" Hey, you were the one cranking up the aspiration points from it. "I can't believe I just kissed him" Clearly, she's in shock, and he seems to be laughing maniacally. -----------------------------------------------Although, Leah did end up getting 2 cleaning skill points from this date shooting her up to 8+ in every skill. Thanks for something Orlando!

And so we meet again Mr. Big Nose. Really, scaring your grand-daughter when she could be enjoying herself with Peter in the hot tub.

And Amelie gets in her Saturday skilling at night, and maxes out her body skill which will be useful for reaching the top of the athletic career.

And kapow! The Hinckleys have 30 full elixers of life again, this makes the 3rd time. How I love that bonus point :)

Amelie decides that she wants her children to get a fine education and so she invites over the headmaster.

And then, silly old me, forgot to take any photos of it, here's Korey shaking Amelie's hand again telling her that he's just accepted all of the Hinckley children into his private school.

And so begins Leah's love affair with the stereo.

Lana is quite the little artist. I always find her at her easel.

With this picture, Peter has reached the top of the Military career, and he has accomplished his LTW, now I can ignore him, er, let him relax.

And tonight is the twins birthdays.

Luke is the first to blow out his candles. Officer Dorian isn't here to break up the party, he's here to meet the Hinckley girls in hopes of maybe entering the family later on.

And here we have Luke, who looks an awful lot like Thinmintsim's 2nd generation Trellis boys. (You haven't read the legacy? Well you really should go check out her page if you haven't) You gotta love how dominant Peter's looks are. Luke is a knowledge sim who wants to become cheif of staff. Remember ladies and gents, our foundress (is that even a word?) was knowledge, so we already have a platinum grave for that. But I do always prefer a knowledge sim over a romance sim that's to be certain!

And here's little Lacey taking her turn at the cake.

Speaking of the Trellis's Robi Chavrat is also at this party, but he's not here to exterminate, he's here to meet and greet.

And here's Lacey.

With *the nose* Lacey is a family sim just like Leah, but her LTW is to marry off 6 kidlets, which always seems like a bit much to me...

Lana and Lacey get along really well, which is a good thing since they share a room together.

Luke and Lacey are going to have to improve those dancing skills to impress Lana.

"I wanna see you try to dance Lana" "Nope sorry, I'm too busy being useful around here!"

And so begins Leah's love affair with the pool table.

I am making sure to introduce every girl in this generation to three different men. First, Dorian the cop.

Second, Manuel Vu, the college coach.

And third Robi Chavrat, everyone's favorite exterminator.

"And so begins the night of 3 terrors as told by Lana Hinckley."

"Everything seemed calm in the Hinckley house, everyone was quietly reading or doing their own thing. But something was afoot."

"The spirits of our ancestors were restless"

"Mother told me she could sense my Great Grandmother Madison in the room."

"I didn't believe her until Madison looked me straight in the eyes."

"Mother told me to just keep reading, that I was more at a risk doing other easily broken activities."

"My ancestors seemed to be playing a game of follow the leader.."

"The third spirit was outside, he was the spirit of my Great-Great-Grandfather Jace. Mother tells me, he was a vampire when my Great-Great-Grandmother met him, and I was glad to learn that he and my Great-Great-Grandmother hadn't figured out how to make it into our house."

"Daddy's coworker Amin Sims was the first to get a fright that night"

"The poor guy wet himself and then ran for the door."

"My brother Luke was the second to be haunted that night by Great Grandmother Madison, but luckily he had just emptied his bladder."

"Finally mean old Great-Great-Grandpa Jace decided to frighten Leah who had been innocently honing her billiard skills for hours."

"Leah too wet herself from fright. Mother said they were all lucky to only have wet themselves. The end."

"His eyes were THIS big and he held his hand across his face like he was hiding something." How big were his eyes? "THIS big! I'm telling you, I saw Great-Great-Grandpa Jace"

The next morning things returned to their normal schedules.

The generation 5 kids continued to pester the older generations in the house for more help on their skills.

Amelie and Peter continued their rampant love affair.

And then all of a sudden Luke said he had an announcement to make.

"After my encounter last night with the ghost of my Great-Grandmother Madison, I have decided that I want to pursue more studies of such things in college. I want to further our understanding of why ghosts haunt and it's adverse and perverse effects it has on the living."

With that Luke left for college, with his twin sister Lacey waiving him good-bye.

Amelie and Peter decided they would make the best of their son's departure.

And celebrate with a little woohoo.

"Hey! You're stopping here! I haven't even gotten to age up and you're ending the chapter here?!" Ignore the mystery girl in orange... This is where Chapter 8.2: Saturday with the Spirits has to come to an end. I will leave you with the current score for the Hinckleys though, and then some really thought provoking questions (I promise they will provoke thoughts, but I am not venturing to say what kind, that's up to you oh kind readers) Le Score: Generations-5 Extreme Start Uneducated-2 Heir w/ Grand Vampire-1 Heir w/ Teen Clerk-1 Heir w/ Mail Delivery Person-1 Heir w/ Bartender-1 Graduate Summa Cum Laude-3 Net Worth>20k @ college-3 15 friends @ graduation-3 Founded Greek House-2 Impossible Wants-2 Time in a bottle-3 Family Business-2 Polished Gems-2 Pharaoh Bonus-1 Tycoon Bonus-1 Ghost Color-1 Platinum Graves-2 pts.
