Sui Northren Gas Piplines Pakistan Various Projects Across the Country August 2004 to September 2006 QA/QC Inspector (Piping/Structural/Welding) As a QA/QC Inspector inspect all Mechanical and Welding activities of pipeline according to API 1104 and company specification. Coordination with PQR testing, WPS formation conducts performance qualification. To ensure remove cladding and remaining thickness of the line pipes meets the internal counter boring requirement and beveling profile check. Line pipes check for magnetization at the end of the pipe by gauss meter to measure residual magnetic field is within range, in case of exceeding demagnetization applied by portable weld demagnetizer. Make sure dryness and purity of gases and storage, handling, distribution of welding consumable. Monitoring and checking adequacy of joints preparation by verifying the joint dimension, fit-up, weld joint cleanliness, quality of individual process, placement and sequence of individual weld passes, interpass cleaning (there is no bimetallic contamination), interpass temperature and time intervals in weld cycle. Surveillance that welding parameter such as amperage, voltage, polarity, travel speed and welding technique is in compliance with approved procedure.
