Vaastu tip of the week - Issue No. 001

SITE SELECTION

For any building the site is the basic requirement and utmost care must be taken in its selection. Normally Vastu Shastris are brought into the picture only at the time of construction, but it is important and advisable to involve them even at the time of purchasing the site. In the selection of a site, some important aspects must be considered. Select a site that slopes down to the north and or to the east. It is always advisable to go in for a site, which is either a square or a rectangle. Avoid sites in the vicinity of temples and ners or on burial grounds. Before construction remove all dirt, hair and other waste from the plot completely, Chemical treatment is must. Always have a square water tank. Tall buildings, hills and mounds at the southern and western side show prosperity. Buying a new piece of land towards the north, northeast or east of existing plot either adjacent or a little away ensures all-round success. For a rectangular site the length should be twice the width. Roads towards north and east side should be lower than the corresponding site levels. Examination of the side and energy patron is another important aspect of Vaastu.

BUYING A FLAT?

Vaastu tip of the week - Issue No. 002

BUYING A FLAT?

Here are some things that you should watch out for when you are house-hunting. These days people purchase a flat/ apartment for different reasons, like safety, economy, proximity to the office, business and city centre etc. Since independent houses or bunglows are so expensive in the centre of the city, people opt for purchasing flats. Some of the general Vaastu rules for purchasing flats are:

It is better to buy a flat from people who have been successful and led a happy life. If it is a new flat, feel the positive energy when you enter into the flat. Don't purchase a flat, which is just opposite crossroads. Avoid purchasing flats that are at the turning of a road. Avoid purchasing any flat that has a traingular shape building opposite it. As per Vaastu it is better to purchase a flat that has roads all four sides. If a flat has three roads around it, but preferably no road in the south, it is considered to be auspicious. A flat having roads on its west and south should be avoided. A flat having a road on its east and south is considered to be average. It is auspicious if a flat has the roads in the road in the east and west. But make sure it has the gate in the east direction. Avoid buying a flat if it is built at the dead end of a corridor. Purchasing a flat built in a square or rectangle is considered auspicious. Visit again for the next week tip >> PLANTS HAVE THEIR PLACES

PLANTS HAVE THEIR PLACES

Vaastu Tip Of The Week [Issue No. 003]

Vaastu being an ancient architectural science, it not only deals with residential buildings, factories and industries but also has prominence along with flowers and plants in and around the buildings. Plants in and around the building play a significant role in activating positive vibrations i.e. Positive Vaastu energy to our daily life.

Tulsi (Basin) is of great importance in houses. It should be planted in the East or Northwest direction only, since it is considered a deity. Jasmine (Chameli) is associated with spirituality and considered to be the best for worshipping purposes. Marigold, being a yellow flower, is good around the house and it gives the most positive Vaastu energy. Champaka, Mogra and Parijat should be planted only in the North, Northeast, South and Southeast directions of the home. Flower pots should never be kept on the building wall in the North, East or Northeast direction, which creates a sort of blockage in that direction. If possible, it is auspicious to have a pond with lotus flowers in the Northeast side of the house. Fruit-bearing trees should be planted only in the East direction of the garden. Growing tall trees in the Southwest side of the house will bring stability and progress in the house. Tall and heavy trees on the Southwest side protect the house from bad vibrations coming from the Southwest.

It is better to have a money plant inside the house since it brings good luck to the house.

Issue No. 008 VAASTU FOR HOME OFFICES VAASTU TIP OF THE WEEK

Most people consider Vaastu insignificantly for home offices, but it is certainly not something to be ignored. A small office at home is a special room where one can find the meaning and the importance of what one does, the work, the decisions, and so on. These are similar to what is done in regular offices. It should be self-made and designed according to one's need. The person in charge should sit facing the North or East for any reference study since those directions are considered to be directions of knowledge. Make sure you never face the wall as it curbs creativity. The space in front of the table or desk develops creativity and strengthens efficiency. Place the desk or table where one gets the best view and light but not against the wall. Provide the room with good photographs, pleasant colours and the working table with a table lamp, which enhance the capacity and interest of the person to work. The office entrance should be from the East or North. A green light along with all this will enhance intelligence. Make sure there is no tree, pillar, rock or any other thing which disturbs the entrance.

Issue No. 009 VAASTU FOR MINOR DETAILS VAASTU TIP OF THE WEEK

Small things can make a big difference, so here is what you should look for in the construction of the flat in which you plan to live. Here are some important points to remember while constructing a flat, because these things are considered very minor but have a very huge effect on Vaastu principles and also natural phenomena. The maximum area in the Northeast should be kept vacant since it is the direction of prosperity and also should receive plenty of sunshine. The building is always preferred square or rectangle in shape. Since steel and RCC reinforcement provided in the slab affect the electromagnetic environment in the premises, it is better to have a high roof. A beam should be avoided across (middle of the room). Use wood and other non-magnetic metals like brass or aluminium. Never build a column in the centre of the room. Balconies in east and north are the best. Steps to enter the main door of the house are considered to be beneficial to the person living there. The entrance and exit doors directly opposite is considered to be non-beneficial since what comes in goes out. The rooms in the north side should be short by 1 to 3 inches compared to those in the south, but at least 6 to 9 inches bigger.

Never keep the southwest corner of the room cabin empty or vacant. Never sit under a beam. Never sit with your back to the door. Sit facing east or north while working on the computer. Visit again for the next week vaastu tip >> DON'T SELL YOURSELF SHORT

Issue No. 013 DON'T SELL YOURSELF SHORT The right Vaastu can make a difference to the success of a shopping complex. Vaastu plays a major role in business establishments like shops or shopping complexes. Though the success of the business depends on the efforts of a persons, Vaastu factors also influence the profit making of the business. So it is very import for any person who wants to do business to take care of Vaastu in shops or shopping complexes. The main building should be constructed in the southwest, west or south portion of the plot. The south-west corner should have have a high-rise building. Don't construct the building extended towards the southwest since it may create problems. While constructing the building, southwest walls should be taller and thicker. A heavy weight should be placed on the southwest portion of the shopping complex. If the south and west are kept vacant, it may lead to problems, so make sure it is not kept vacant. Provide a lawn in fornt of the shopping complex for a natural outlook and positive vibrations. A bore well, underground water tank etc., should be provided in the northeast as far as possible. Raised rods on the southwest side of the building are good and it is better to plant taller trees in the southwest direction. VAASTU TIP OF THE WEEK

Visit again for the next week vaastu tip >> SOME REMEDIES FOR POOR VAASTU

Issue No. 014 SOME REMEDIES FOR POOR VAASTU VAASTU TIP OF THE WEEK

Most vaastu defects can be avoided with some remedial measures to cut down the negative energy created by them. Here are some measures to get back positive energy even from a place that has been found to have bad vaastu: If the plot has a slope towards the west, plant any tall trees on the west, such as eucalyptus. If the plot has an elevation from west to east then construct the floor higher in the west so that the east has a slope.

Constructing the compound on the east side with very light material can also prevent this defect. The maximum number of windows should be constructed on the east side. A well in the east or southeast should be capped since it may have disastrous results. If there is a slope on the south, it creates imbalance in the energy flow; loading the south side while constructing can rectify this. The same defect can be avoided by building the compound wall high and thick on the south. A well in the south will bifurcate energy, so it should be capped to get positive energy. Neem trees on the south end border of the site prevent flow of negative energy. Excess space in the west can be filled by planting eucalyptus trees.
